Yanks Getting Hitched in Canada

ThoughLoveBeLost sent in this story about Americans going to Canada to get married. It focuses on an elderly lesbian couple who have been together for forty years and have been fighting for the right to get married. Unfortunately, one of them is very ill and will die soon so they gave up and went to Toronto to get married. The article really does a great job of pointing out the monstrous injustice being done to hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of gay and lesbian couples in America. It also made me think of Mary Cheney and Heather Poe and ask myself, as I frequently do, how those vile people live with themselves knowing their party is the reason America treats it's GLBT citizens so awfully. Anyway, here is the article: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20070531.wxvows31/BNStory/lifeFamily/home

THEY COULD...

Always come to Massachusetts, where gay marriage is legal and has been for 3 yrs. now. As one of the people who helped fight to keep it that way, it means alot to me!! We are now trying to over turn the 1913 Law that bans out of state couples from marrying if their state won't recognize the union...*crosses fingers*.

You're welcome in my state

Yes, come to Massachusetts to get married and then honeymoon in P-Town and Martha's Vineyard. Cape Cod is the new haven for gays and gay couples. :)

Canadian eh!

Last November, when my husband and I got married here in Canada (yup, we're Canadian eh) the marriage commissioner told us that at that time, he had performed around 52 marriages and that only 5 or so couples were Canadians, the rest were from the states and he said surprisingly enough, a majority of them were from Texas. Gay marriage is big business here.  Take that, George W....

I'm confused. Is it bitch slap or slap a bitch?
