Is anyone else here watching Canada's Next Top Model? Two episodes have aired so far, it's been pretty good. Jay Manuel is the host, and Nole Marin is the style director (ie: what Jay does on America's Next Top Model).

The models seem pretty good. There are a few who don't seem to know what they're doing (Steff, Mo), but I think some of them have good potential. It's too early to have a favourite... maybe Cori, or Mo if only she could take good pictures, or Rebecca since she's so high fashion.

One thing I'm not enjoying, is the last two weeks one girl has taken really really bad pictures both times and been in the bottom 2, but they have kept her around both weeks because of her potential and let the other girls go, both of whom had better pictures. It's kind of annoying because her pictures were seriously really bad.

Jay is a good host, he's not much different than when he's on ANTM. My mom says he tries too hard to be like Tyra though, which I sort of agree with. I do like him though. Nole Marin is great as the photo director, and the judges are good too. What I like about the judges this season is that they have a current supermodel as a judge, instead of a former supermodel like on ANTM. Her name is Yasmin Warsame, and her critiques of the girls are really good and actually helpful, unlike Twiggy, Janice and Miss Jay on ANTM.

So... that's what I think so far. A good start to the season. The first episode I was a little let down because a girl from Moncton NB (my province) was in the top 20, but she didn't make the final cut, and I thought she would. But oh well.

Is anyone else watching? One of my American friends is downloading it (not sure where though) so if any of the international Top Model fans are interested, it's out there somewhere for download. :)
