News, Reviews & Commentary on Gay and Bisexual Men in Entertainment and the Media

Isaiah Washington's (anti-TR Knight) media blitz may have worked

I'm ambivalent on the topic, as evidenced by my YouTube comments, but it's interesting to note that the comments for my video is unanimously for Isaiah Washington.

Isaiah Washington on Larry King - A CNN Follow-Up Critique - 07:53

So far, 4 out of 4 comments are for Washington, and 3 of those are very anti-TR Knight, with one being blatantly homophobic. This is surprising given that the CNN video is very anti-Washington. Indeed, I felt a need to defend him because the CNN piece was so unfair and mean-spirited.

Bending Over Backwards

Isaiah got more than fair treatment in the media.  Compared to incidents involving Mel Gibson, Michael Richards and Don Imus there was barely any coverage.  He recieved fair punishment no need to sympathize for those that don't deserve it.

Anti-gay people are not afraid to give their opinion on any subject involving gay people.  You will learn that if you already haven't.  Unfortunately many gay people don't have the backbone to stand up for what's right and so anti-gay people's comments go unchallenged.

Hmmmmmmmm

I wonder if GAnatomy would have fired Patrick Dempsey or the actor that plays McSteamy or even the actress that plays Meredith if anyone of them had uttered the F word. Either way, the show was unfait to fire IW. He did the PSA, he went to "rehab" and he complied with everything they told him to do. Yet he still gets fired. It reeks racism, so IW has a point.
