AE is a very unreliable site, you need a better serverI have a list of 13 blogs/websites I hit every day...news, entertainment, etc... AE is consistantly the only site that I run into where I get traffic and SQL error messages. This morning has been a nightmare. Just when the site is flowing again and I have a post ready to send the site is down. IT's a bitch when you have lots of links you've set up and images you've inserted into a post only to have it lost. I know I'm not the only one having the problem because I IM friends and ask them to go to the site and it doesn't work for them either. Logo needs to step up! AE deserves better.

Thanks for the feedback. We are very sorry and
Fast reader?
You don't have to be a fast reader
Most the sites only add 2 or 3 articles a day at the most and some don't update daily. Here are the sites I hit daily:
AE, Towleroad, JustUsBoys, Gawker, Daily Kos, Aussielicious, Kenneth in the 212, Famous Like Me, IMDB News, WayBigBlog (usually before bed *blush*), All Aussie Beef, Made in Brazil and of course, Bilerico Project. Those are all daily hits. I also have several policical blogs and environmental blogs I check into a few times a week. And...every other day I check my YouTube subs.
Same problem
Many Time
this has happened to me as well. It is annoying when you spend a bit of time writing a post only to lose it due to server problems.

GayTVluver is a naughty boy
I only go there for the articles
I'm convinced
If we're talking upgrades...
...how about the option to remain permanently logged in, instead of having to log in every single time one visits the site? Then you won't be seeing less than a dozen identified online users and 500+ "guests" all the time.
The three sites I tend to visit multiple times a day are, in no particular order, Towleroad, AfterElton, and Out In Hollywood.
Lately, I've also been checking the Van Hansis fansite for upcoming spoilers to the ATWT Nuke storyline.
Thanks to everyone for the feedback. A couple of things
I'm not a tech person (my tennis shoes have velcro instead of laces), but I'm given to understand it's not a server issue. Instead it's a matter of the site's functionality (which it has a lot of) working with Drupal (the system used). We're making some behind the scenes changes and have a new search feature which should ease the load on the site. That is what causes it to sometimes be slow and to time it. BTW, we thought it was only the administrators like myself, Brian, and Dennis that was having a hard time so I can't think GayTVLuver enough for bringing this to our attention.
Again, I apologize for any hassles folks are having and I can promise you the issue has the attention of the highest reaches of Logo. Thanks for your patience and we'll get this licked!
GRRRRRRRRR
Just spent 45 minutes typing a response to a post only to be logged out and lose it when I went to post it. Dammit
