John Barrowman Videos

I didn't want to be accused of hijacking someone elses thread so I figued I'd start one just for John Barrowman video. Links to blogs, YouTubes or Google videos of John.

Here's a few:

This features a Capt. Jack/Capt. Jack scene complilation plus a song sung by John.

This features Capts Jack/Jack again, it's a fan video featuring Damien Rice's version of "Silent Night"

Lyrics:

Silent night,
Broken night.
All is fallen,
When you take your life
I found some hate for you,
just for show.
You found some love for me,
thinking I'd go.
Don't keep me from cryin to sleep
Sleep in heavinly peace.

Silent night,
Moonlit night.
Nothing's changed.
Nothing is right.
I should be stronger then,
weeping alone.
You should be weeker then,
sending me home.
I can't stop you fighting to sleep.
Sleep in heavinly peace.

This features John Barrowman singing "I Am What I Am"

This features the Capts Jack/Jack story set to the James Blunt song "Goodbye My Lover" (I like this video but this one from Brokeback Mountain is better.)

This features John reading a bedtime story - Bumpsaurus

There's lots more. What are some of your favs?

I Have A Bunch

But, there's one on YouTube where John sings "Anything Goes" to clips of him from Dr Who series 1, episode 12 "Bad Wolf". Not the best editing in the world, but you get to see Capt Jack a little nekkid.

There's another one: the song is Cher's version of  "It's in His Kiss" and clips from Dr Who and Torchwood. There are some Torchwood spoilers, but think of them as previews of upcoming episodes.

Once you get on YouTube, you will hundreds if not more John Barrowman/Capt Jack videos. But, remember there is another Capt Jack (Pirates of the Caribbean). Actually, I found a funny video of Pirate Capt Jack with Justin Timberlake's "Sexy Back"

Enjoy!!

I'm having a bizarre moment . . .

Just this afternoon I found that Silent Night Captain Jack fan video on YouTube and watched it, and now here it is on a new AfterElton thread.  I really don't want this video following me around - when I watched it, for some reason I found it really creepy and the lyrics left me feeling really disturbed.  I had to immediately go and immerse myself in some of the other light-hearted fluffy pieces on there with John Barrowman to rid myself of a feeling of dread.  I'd like to hear other people's feedback on this one.  There's also a fan video to Sexy Back of John's Captain Jack and the Tenth Doctor which is worth watching.  There are hundreds of clips on YouTube for John AND for his Captain Jack - you can easily spend hours watching them (she speaks with the voice of experience . . . sigh)

Oh, goody...

...a place for me to "vent" :P

Who's seen John Barrowman's appearance on the Charlotte Church Show? (part one, part two and part three) The highlight is hearing Barroman speak with a Scottish accent. I don't know much about her, outside of seeing her CDs in the store, but whenever I run into a clip from her show Church gives a really fun interview.

Charlotte Church

I have seen the Charlotte Church interview. (I've seen most of the JB interviews) I thought it was really funny. The Brit fans of John spend a lot of time bashing Charlotte but I thought she was cheeky, smart and funny- a good match for John. I have to say though, I always roll my eyes when John talks Scottish. I am second generation Scottish and talking with the accent has always been a joke, like making fun of yourself. The fact that he says he talks that way around his family all the time, frankly, is goofy. He slips back into American so naturally, that it leads me to believe it's just another schtick of his. He says even Scott hates it when he talks that way. I love John, but really, he needs new material. Really.

If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.

My fave Barrowman clips

My favorite clips of John:

His second performance on "Dancing on Ice"

(Bonus: A short interview with Scott prior to that performance.)

John interviewed on "Heaven and Earth" (Look, he can be serious too!)

John on "A Taste of my Life": Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 (You really feel like you know the man after you've seen this)

And him singing "Maria" from "Westside Story"

Some of you may have seen

Some of you may have seen this clip already, but I'd thought I'd post it anyway.

It's a little parody of the "Dancing on Ice" contestants (including John, naturally).

John Barrowman as a singer

As a joke/curiosity killer, my boyfriend got me a CD of John Barrowman music. Hmmmm, what to say about it. I like John Barrowman's voice, it's very nice. But...he's not really a radio singer...his voice and presentation is totally made for the stage. Listen to this recording. I'm very uneducated when it comes to studio recordings of music so for all I know it was recorded to sound like it's a cast album. Maybe they highlighted his voice that way, but nothing on the CD I have could be played on the radio. Not slamming John at all, he has a wonderful voice but it's not a pop/rock/radio voice.

All Out Of Love

Is it just me again not being able to find anything, but where is your link to John Barrowman's official site, showing the new and gorgeous video of him singing "All Out Of Love" from his upcoming album?    Just in case it's not anywhere else - http://www.johnbarrowman.com/news/newsindex.html#  Scroll till you find the news item for 5th November 2007 and click on "video".    If you have slow broadband like I do, when the picture appears click on the pause symbol and let it load for a couple of minutes.  This is so lovely you do NOT want it to be interupted.

John Barrowman - Making the ladies melt

Sorry if this is a repeat. Should this thread be moved to the Torchwood section? *ponders*

Anyway...here is the video. He looks like a good kisser, the scene where the chick fights him is funny.

Why they should make a musical Doctor Who episode...

Here's my #1 reason why they should make a musical Doctor Who episode: http://youtube.com/watch?v=EuPKhnhBZ7g

I can't seem to get that song out of my head now... and it would fit the show perfectly.
