Who else thought it a tacky way to end the show? 

I'm just not getting the friendly vibes from Rebecca.  I've never really liked her, though this ending last night having her basically recap the members of the family for new audience members for season two just didn't sit well with me.

She recaps each family member and we see Tommy, sitting with Elizabeth (his daughter) where Rebecca says he's "stoic, always looking out for others. but who takes care of him?"

and Kevin who kneels to pray after drinking what looks like a considerable amount of scotch. how long would that new found faith last?

she called Sarah "super-mom" but left out the fact that she did, in essence, help destroy sarah's marriage.

ultimately, the whole thing seemed very contrived, as Rebecca continues to play the sweet, innocent bastard-sister that she seems to be (and manipulative person that she is).
