Hard to believe but the oft shirtless and sometime drunken bongo playing Matthew McConaughey turns 40 today. He still looks mighty fine, but you know how Hollywood likes shiny new things — so we were wondering who might succeed him as the undisputed king of Hollywood romantic comedies.

There are so many handsome actors out there to choose from, but we decided to take this thing seriously and only consider actors who are 1) under 40, and 2) are already in the movies. (That means current soap actors, Broadway performers and the like are out of the running.)
