The Year in Sports: Our Annual Compendium of Athlete Beefcake

Greetings sports fans! 2010 was truly a great year for athlete beefcake, or Sportscake™ as we like to call it around here. Not only were there major international events to cover like The Winter Olympics, The World Cup and The Commonwealth Games, but we also finally had some very fetching out gay male athletes to celebrate and cheer on. Rugby player Gareth Thomas, diver Matthew Mitcham, and speed skater Blake Skjellerup all pictured above astounded us with their athletic prowess – not to mention their aesthetic appeal! How great is it that they also play for our team?

In this end of year compendium, we present highlights from our 2010 sports coverage.

Things kicked off in February in Vancouver with our Men of the Winter Olympics.

We were particularly taken with skeleton competitor Patrick Shannon of Ireland (pictured below left), but there were a number of handsome athletes in Vancouver.
