In "Dragon Age 2," "Anders Aches For You." Assuming You're A Dude, That Is!

Video game enthusiasts were chomping at the bit for yesterday's release of BioWare's Dragon Age 2, the sequel to one of the most well-regarded role-playing games ever made.

Part of the excitement (at least for many of us gaymers) was because the original included an option for a same-sex relationship (with haughty elf Zevran), and a hilarious trip to a male whorehouse (with scantily clad man-ho's of different species).

We were hoping for a continuation of this gay-inclusiveness in the sequel, and it appears that we got our wish. Below you can see a scene with a character named Anders, who has "ached for years to be with you," and is a lot hotter than that elf who just wanted a quickie.

.

The actual sex scene is off-camera (they pan to a flickering candle. Seriously), but the dialogue is very romantic, if obviously tortured and, well, obvious (this is a medieval soap opera, after all), but I was hoping one of the guys would throw in, "Have you ever licked a lamppost in winter?" as a nod to the original.

Kudos to BioWare for giving fans this option. Now they just need to do the same for Mass Effect 3.
