Cool, Hot, Funny, Sexy Summer Sports Pics

Earlier this summer, I had fun posting a whole slew of diving pictures that featured the divers making some pretty hilarious faces during their dives (and which was then subsequently ripped off by a zillion other sites without credit).

While I don't have anything quite that amusing here, I thought it might be fun to mark the unofficial end of summer here in  the U.S. by taking a look back at the week in sports pics because there was a hell of a lot of stuff going on. Here in the U.S., we've got the U.S. Open in New York, plus we're way deep into the baseball season. College football kicked off this past weekend and the NFL starts up on Thursday.

Down under in Australia, we've got Aussie Rules, as well as the National Rugby League going on, while Europe has soccer and rugby happening. And over in South Korea, thousands of the worlds athletes were strutting their stuff at the IAAF World Athletics Championships, including Usain Bolt who really knows how to show off. Some of the pics are here because they are beautifully shot, some are sexy, and some just show how awesome some of these athletes can be. Yes, I mean you Serena Williams!

And, yes, some are kind of funny.
