Interview with Michael Urie AE: Is there anything in particular you would like to say or talk about or anything you’d like to say to our readers? AE: Well, I love the show. I love your character. That bitchy gay assistant character can be problematic of, but between you and the writers, you have brought a real humanity to it. My complaint about that sort of character is that it’s often the only representation that you see and Ugly Betty has such a great diversity and Marc has such a great humanity that it works. I’m glad that you like what we have to say. Submitted by on Wed, 2007-10-31 22:21. |

Enjoyed the interview. I
I personally have always liked
the character of Marc, although he is a stereotype, he is not unrealistic, I have met gay men like him. As the show developed last year you could see his character evolving more, the insecurity and humanity coming to the forefront which was nice to see. I hope Marc is allowed to spend more time mentoring Justin in future episodes, because Justin needs it!
Cheers

This is a really
Very few actors can do pratfalls AND razor-sharp line readings
Michael is such a class act.
I got a chance to see
I got a chance to see Michael Urie live on stage at a theatre near my home when he was in Hamlet. He is as handsome 5-10 ft. away from where I was sitting as he is on the television. :)
