    VOTING WAS TOUGH!

    Some of my favorties were up against each other.  Rosie and Ellen? Too tough...Ro Ro won out cause she answered me on her blog and her on-air meltdowns?  Too funny...besides how can any of us not relate to her with that?!  I voted for my idol extraordinaire Elton John and his partner for best gay couple cause they got married the moment they were able in the UK....and well.....it's Elton! Damn! Trailblazer!!!  I was torn between Sally Feild Vanessa Williams and America Ferrera...Sally won...because of the Stell Magnolia factor (gay classic!) and her political sassiness! How dare the Emmy's cut short her speech!! Had to write in Perez Hilton as favorite blog.....uh OK....let's make that SECOND fav blog (tee hee!) . Hairspray and the Queen were easy....Latifah rules the world! Bros and Sis for fav drama=no brainer....but it was hard voting for DH over Ugly Betty and equally hard voting for Neil Patrick Harris over Michael Urie...love both....both gay....it's just that Neil has been around longer and came out so publically and with such dignity...definitely my type of man in every way!!!  Let's get this writer's strike settled! Ugly Betty, Housewives and Brothers has revitalized regular TV...and Neil Patrick Harris is a major babe.....all right..my hormones influenced that vote....give me a break...I'm a Gay man!!

    Congratulations on proving a viable way to encompass everyone!

    While it's easy to play Monday morning quarterback (even if you throw like a girl), no list is going get every single choice to please all, so thanks for providing an easy way to vote for personal likes:

    Into The Wild in the movie category;

    Van Hansis (a ray on sunshine who also seems to always be going to more than what's on paper in his scenes with Noah) in the TV actor category; and

    Nickie Blonskie and Emile Hirsch, two fresh performers who stood out in the acting categories for me in 2007.

    Blonsky captured my heart in Hairspray, a movie that I did not want to go see and liked mostly because of her. Hirsch is a quiet powerhouse in Into The Wild.

    Meryl

    I had to write in La Streep for "Lions For Lambs" ... there were some terrific performances this year - can we say Marion Cotillard?! ... but Streep will always be the queen! Well, maybe that's a title best used by somebody else with more make up and better shoes - but certainly royalty!

    Torchwood & Cheyenne Jackson

    Torchwood was dicsovered by me by accident whilst playing around on YouTube.  It stars the fantastic gay hunk John Barrowman, who quickly became my new hero.  If you have Cable TV, a new season of it begins on Jan. 26 on BBC America.  Barrowman is hot hot hot!  So is Cheyenne Jackson... who needs his own TV show, too!
