AE: What do you think is the most misunderstood thing about you for your gay fans?
LB: Misunderstood . . . I don’t know. I really don’t know that anyone’s misunderstanding me. It’s really hard because being a gay man, it’s a very touchy subject. You don’t want to say the wrong things at all and of course everything that I say is dissected. And I will be the first to say that I don’t know all the answers. I’m also very new to this . I know a lot of people are wanting me to speak out and say things about certain issues, but if I don’t feel comfortable and feel 100% right about what I’m saying, then I’m not going to say anything because people do love to dissect everything anyone says and try make a negative out of it.
AE: It's a little like being a politician. You aren’t allowed to be human anymore. You can’t easily explain yourself if something doesn’t come out just right. What about the reality show we were supposedly hearing about a while ago with Joey Fatone? Any truth to that? If so, is that still going on?
LB: It wasn’t a reality show. It was actually a show that we were doing with UPN back in the day before it turned into the CW. It was a sitcom that we were developing, but that pilot got squashed with all of the rest of the pilots when UPN went under.

AE: Anything else along those lines in the works for you?
LB: There are a lot of things in development right now. I haven’t really decided what my next step is going to be after this show, but definitely television, film, is where I feel like I want to be. It’s just a natural fit for me and I love it. I love writing. So after this you know maybe I can fall into a sitcom. I would love to work with Joey. We’ve always been trying to find a project to work together so maybe we can find that sitcom to do together.
AE: Any news on ‘N Sync touring or recording?
LB: None right now. We haven’t really discussed it. We all haven’t been in the same room for quite a while. It’s something that’s kind of around and we’re thinking about but we haven’t really discussed it yet.
AE: What kind of dances are we going to see coming up?
LB: Well, we just found out we’re doing the tango for next week, that is if I survive tonight.
AE: I can’t get this interview up until next week. You have to be around!
LB: I’ll do my best. But yeah, I’m excited to do the tango. It’s definitely going to be probably the most challenging dance to date for me, but I’m excited to take on the challenge and it’ll be a lot of fun.
AE: Is there a dance that you’d like to perform?
LB: Well, I always said I wanted to do the Pasa Doble and I already got to do that. I didn’t think that they would give it to me so early on in the show, but that was great. I love the attitude of that dance and if we get to do that again, or if we get to choose a dance, I’ll probably chose that again.
AE: Anything you’d like to say to your gay fans that you haven’t had a chance to say before?
LB: Oh, my gosh. I think I’ve said it all, but I continuously thank them for their support. It’s been a crazy ride and I’m so proud of my community and we’ve come such a long way. Just in the last few years everything has changed so much and I continue to see that change and together we’re just going to make this place so much better.
AE: Thanks for talking with us. Take care and don’t get yourself injured!
LB: All right. I’ll try not to!

I appreciate your authenticity...
Lance,
Thank you for being as candid as is safe for someone in the public eye. I honor the grounded person I hear you are underneath the words of the interview and I thank you for taking up the gay-visibility baton, although it was thrust upon you.
This may sound odd-it is sincere: From my profession, I will know for you that the soulful person who you truly are will continue to be your compass for navigating your fame, your out-ness and for attracting the right matching boyfriend/partner for you. Keep your soul nourished. Believe me, it is possible. That is how I found mine.
See more of your world... choose a new thought,
Lamar
His answers were well thought
out and communicated. Lance seems to have a good head on his shoulders which will come in handy I am sure in the years to come. I don't envy him, or any other celebrity for that matter. I would much rather be wealthy and obscure thank you very much. Like Mr. Bass I like my privacy to remain intact.
Cheers

Most important thing
That's the most important thing he's said. I've seen evidence of it myself. It's one reason why Perez Mario Lavandeira, Jr's and other sites that practice these gorilla tactic of forced outings should be denounced and shunned.
Keep doing it Lance!!!!
Thank you Lance for being a very positive and inspiring image of an American gay male. We need more of your caliber to come out and represent. You are so talented and please keep up the excellent work and no matter what the Dancing With The Stars' judges say..... I love you and Lacy's modern spins on the dances. Keep it up!!!
YAAAY LANCE!!! lol
