I've heard of political contests becoming beauty pageants, but not beauty pageants becoming political contests.  Now I feel as though I ought to add Bill Clinton, John Edwards, Al Gore, and Kofi Annan to my list of hunks.  I had planned to vote for Barack Obama in the fall, if, as is looking more and more likely, he is the only Democrat left standing; but I think that one man/one vote is a pretty good rule, so I won't be voting for him on AfterElton's hot 100.  Really though, I think you ought to have followed AfterEllen's lead here and not published a batch of "starter" lists.  Now, everyone is going to be confusing voting for hotties with making a political statement--and that's bound to drive another wedge between the B.O. and Hillary camps.  I hope I'm wrong.

No, I guess I'm not saying that.  Certainly, everyone should vote their hearts--in either contest.  And I must say, if Barack is elected president (as is beginning to look more and more likely), and he rolls up his shirt sleeves and starts moving this country toward universal health care and out of Iraq, I'll gladly vote for him as a Hottie next year!

Well, that got me curious as to who this guy was.  Turns out he won the 2006 UK version of American Idol [aka X-Factor].  If I didn't like him before, I fell in love after watching his exquisite rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow during the show. [Trust me, find it on Youtube...may be better than Judy's! Seriously!] His debut album is very Westlife-ish, chock full of beautiful ballads, very impressive.  His second album may be even better, more up-beat.  Can you tell I love this guy?  He can serenade me anytime...and just smokin' hot to boot.  Guhhh]

While reading over the comments, I stumbled over quite a few men I also realized I'd include in my list, but as it usually goes - when asked to make a list, I go blank.

I mean, my top 2 men are a given:

Robbie Williams (I don't care how he looks, a little extra weight, some scruff - i'd take him in a heartbeat - total yum!!) and Chris Meloni (I don't know what can be said about him other that he's obviously very comfortable with himself and his sexuality to play the roles he has, but he's also an incredible comedic actor too - Wet Hot American Summer, anyone?)

I think the only other guys that popped into my head were Mike Rowe (from Dirty Jobs, not sure what it is, but he's quite sexy, probably cos of all his charisma), Hugh Jackman (scruffier the better tho, I don't care for him clean shaven - or when he had those awful hair extensions in) and Daniel Craig (the first, and only James Bond, I've ever thought was sexy.)
