Ryan Gosling: Hero Through History

Ryan Gosling is many things: Oscar-nominated actor, former Mouseketeer, snappy dresser ... but now the truth about his heroism has been revealed.
When an altercation on a NYC street erupted into fisticuffs, a vision in a blue visor and striped tank top swooped in to help diffuse the situation. Thankfully a woman named Valerie Herrera managed to film the courageous interloper, and rumors began to swirl that it was Hollywood hunk Gosling, a rumor that's now been confirmed.
According to Herrera, Gosling took the two fighting men to the corner and asked them what happened. When Gosling learned that one man was being accused of stealing the other's painting, he asked the vendor how he could make things right.
"He dug into his wallet and took out a $20, gave it to the guy," she explained. Gosling asked the vendor, "Does this settle his debt now?" The vendor agreed and Herrera says they all just went their separate ways.
I don't know why people are shocked. This is just par for the course for Dudley DoRyan, who's helped assist people in distress countless times over the years. Unfortunately, because he likes to keep a low profile, it usually went unnoticed.
Except by us. We've kept track of his good deeds, and below you can see a small sample of the proof we've collected.
For example, as soon as Ryan heard of the plight of the Chilean Miners trapped underground last year, he knew he had to act. He grabbed his guitar and headed for Chile, and spent weeks helping keep the miners' spirits raised. He serenaded them daily with soothing AM Gold favorites (the Seals & Croft medley was a particular favorite). However, some did question the wisdom of including the song "Timothy" in his repertoire.

When the time came for the miners to begin their ascent, Ryan bravely volunteered to test the escape tube. He was the first man down and the last man up, and entertained the nervous crew on their ride up with the greatest hits of Dr. Hook.

When a U.S. Airways plane landed in the Hudson River,, Ryan's quick actions helped save the frightened passengers. As he swam toward the rapidly sinking aircraft, his hotness served as a beacon of light for rescue ships, and helped assuage the fears of the panicked flyers.
He vowed to stay until every passenger was safely in lifeboats, and in a last feat of heroism went back inside the plane to retrieve a lost iPhone.
