It’s no wonder they are called the boys of summer. Athletic and slim, with wide shoulders and boyish grins, these baseball players are a sight to be seen as they gallop and roll on lawns across the nation. Sports commentators have been known to say, “He really fills out his uniform.” It’s all that filling that keeps me coming back to baseball, season after season.

Keeping in mind that all ball players wear protective cups, grab yourself some peanuts and Cracker Jack and come out to the ballgame – as we celebrate tonight’s first game of the World Series, here’s a look at twelve of the men whose cups runneth over with athleticism, grace, and good looks.

Huston Street

Age 28

This 6-foot tall Texas native pitches for the Colorado Rockies and is becoming one of the best closers in baseball, with three superb and precise pitches: a killer fastball, a dangerous slider, and an air-splitting change up. Street’s dazzling looks and killer smile make him a model pitcher on the mound.

Mike Stanton

Age 23

Giancarlo Cruz Michael Stanton’s first at-bat in the major leagues produced a grand slam, becoming one of only four players in the past 25 years to do so before his 21st birthday. He plays for the Florida Marlins, and because the team sells the fewest tickets in baseball, he often plays in nearly empty stadiums. If only more fans knew how handsome he is, there would be a lot more tickets sold – especially in the front rows.
