One of the absolute best things about gay pop culture in 2011 is the existence of not just out gay celebrities, but of out gay celebrity couples. After all, seeing two men in love strolling down the red carpet holding hands sends an incredibly powerful message that us gay and bi folks really are no different from everyone else. (Okay, maybe we do dress a little better.) Even more importantly, it sends a message to GLBT youth that their future holds the promise of meeting that special someone they can share their life with. Trust me, when I was a kid I would've killed for a single image showing gay men could actually fall in love with each other.

And right now, no couple better embodies all that is wonderful about out gay celebrities than Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his boyfriend and Justin Mikita.

I always thought Luke was sexy and then I found out he builds things, from scratch... with his hands... inside a work space that he built with his hands. He's the kind of guy that always has a little dirt on his hands. I mean, come on.

8. Zachary Quinto

People say I look like him. I did'nt see it. But people keep talking about how hot he is. Now I guess I can sorta see it.

I seriously might embarrass Jesse if I ever meet Ryan. Pick any scene of him shirtless in Cruel Intentions and that represents my lust as a gay youth. Now he has tattoos and a kid and there's something even more sexy about a bad-boy dad. During my closeted days in high school, he was always my response to anyone whenever they asked "Who would you go gay for?" I dont think it was the response that gave away that I was gay so much as the fact that I could answer the question in an awkwardly rapid fashion -- before they were even done asking.
