In a sign of the continued disintermediation of Hollywood, Jim Carrey pronounced the end of his five year relationship to the world via Twitter.

This was followed almost immediately by Jenny McCarthy doing the same, leaving gossip bloggers scrambling like a bunch of Keystone Cops. Eventually reps were contacted and the split was confirmed. I don't know if celebrities are looking for a closer connection to fans, or looking to cut a payroll position.

What's odd is that Kevin Nealon is just now realizing this about his life. I've known it for 20 years.
