Battle of the Network Gays! It's Barca vs. Eric and Jonathan vs. Cooper vs. Calvin & Heath

Every week we're going to pick the gays who made the biggest splash on television and let you, the keepers of the flame, decide who will be crowned Gay of the Week. We'll announce the winner the following Monday, and that champion will reign until a new set of challengers are unveiled the following week.

Here are this week's nominees:

Barca, Sparacus: Gods of the Arena

We've been waiting for a second chance to get to know Barca and this week we got a reminder of how he behaved among his fellow gladiators (messing with the new guy's food), saw a brief sex scene with Auctus and was a part of Battius' plan for revenge. We hope that's just a sample of what we'll get to see before this prequel wraps up.

Eric and Jonathan, Gossip Girl

For a while, Gossip Girl hasn't been able to figure out how to make use of gay teen Eric van der Woodsen. He's been his rebellious stepsister's Jenny's personal Jiminy Cricket and the van der Woodsen/Bass/Humphrey family's voice of reason ... until this week.

Eric was quite the troublemaker this week, dismissing his mother's concerns with snarky reminders of how she was an absent mother in his younger days, and spending time around bad boy Damien.

Meanwhile, Eric's ex-boyfriend Jonathan was back in Eric's life. Jonathan broke up with Eric the last time Eric's dark side surfaced. For a brief moment, Jonathan hoped Eric was back to being the guy he first dated. When that turned out not to be the case, Jonathan stood up for himself and walked away from a bad situation.

John Cooper, Southland

The Santa Ana winds brought a tough day for Officer John Cooper. As his father's parole hearing loomed, fate (or writers) had him encounter a teen abandoned by his parents and another child unappreciative of his mother's attention, encounters that served to remind Cooper about his frustration with his father even further.

Worse, back pain continued to bother him. With his other treatment options exhausted, his last remaining choice for treatment is surgery, something Cooper wants to avoid. There a tough choice ahead for Cooper.

Calvin & Heath, Greek

Calvin found himself questioning his relationship this week, thanks to his friend Rebecca's attempt at humor. When she joked about Heath's intellect, that got Calvin questioning how much he had in common with Heath, aside from being gay frat boys. Calvin questioned the relationship further when he learned that there was even more he didn't know about his boyfriend ... his secret job as a stripper. In the end, however, Calvin realized he loved Heath and that their differences was a part of the reason why.

Vote for your favorite by Noon EST Sunday. Be sure to check back on Monday to see who you've picked as Gay of the Week!
