Battle of the Network Gays! It's Teddy vs. Mitchell & Cameron vs. Cooper vs. Kurt and Blaine!

Every week we're going to pick the gays who made the biggest splash on television and let you, the keepers of the flame, decide who will be crowned Gay of the Week. We'll announce the winner the following Monday, and that champion will reign until a new set of challengers are unveiled the following week.

Here are this week's nominees:

Teddy Montgomery, 90210

This week, Teddy's relationship with Ian hit a new hurdle — a blackmail note with an accompanying photo left in his locker. At first, Teddy's impulse was to protect his secret, pay the blackmailer and accuse Dixon of breaking his promise to keep Teddy's secret.

Thankfully, after thinking things through, Teddy ended up doing the right thing, coming out to his friends and openly holding Ian's hand at an event. Unfortunately, the triumph of coming out was quickly undone by the realization that Ian was his blackmailer. We're looking forward to seeing how he recovers from this heartbreak.

Mitchell & Cameron, Modern Family

Modern Family celebrated Valentine's Day this week and, unlike last year, Mitchell and Cameron were dealing with their own relationship issues. Picking up on how Mitchell's assistant, Broderick,  was sabotaging Cameron's attempted romantic gestures, Cameron initially suspected that Broderick had a crush on Mitchell. However, when Cameron confronted Broderick, he realized that he was the object of Broderick's affection, a story that could uniquely be told with a same-sex couple.

Throughout the confusion, we saw Mitchell and Cameron deal with typical Valentine's Day activities, as Cameron sent Mitchell flowers (a gift stolen by Broderick) or having a special dinner at a nice restaurant (though they had to take back a table that Jay and Gloria stole from them). At the end of the day, they spent the night cuddling on the couch and kissing with a casual intimacy still rarely seen on TV.

John Cooper, Southland

This was a long-awaited week for Cooper's fans. Not only did we see him in bed with Ceasar, easing worries that Southland might be de-gaying the gay cop, but we got a story emphasizing how he's dedicated to helping people.

While set to guard a celebrity suspect's home from onlookers, Cooper repeatedly grumbled about how this assignment would keep officers from answering 911 calls. Frustrated, he eventually deserted his post to answer a call about a strange odor, where he was able to get help for a  child whose only caretaker had died suddenly.

While it's been frustrating waiting to see glimpses of Cooper's romantic life, he's primarily defined by how he approaches police work, much like most of his colleagues.

Kurt and Blaine, Glee

One problem with Blaine is that he's seemed a bit too flawless — confident, self-assured and a natural leader. This week, we saw some of Blaine's flaws with his inappropriate attempt at being romantic via an unwelcome serenade at his would-be boyfriend's workplace.

Meanwhile, we also finally learned how Kurt feels about Blaine. We're been wondering if they're BFFs or a slowly-building romance and Kurt admits he's been wondering the same thing. When he learned about Blaine's other love-interest, Kurt didn't suffer silently, asking Blaine about his feelings.

Vote for your favorite by Noon EST Sunday. Be sure to check back on Monday to see who you've picked as Gay of the Week!

POLL HAS CLOSED. CHECK BACK MONDAY FOR RESULTS.
