Battle of the Network Gays! It's Cooper vs. Saul & Jonathan vs. Owen vs. Teddy!

Every week we're going to pick the gays who made the biggest splash on television and let you, the keepers of the flame, decide who will be crowned Gay of the Week. We'll announce the winner the following Monday, and that champion will reign until a new set of challengers are unveiled the following week.

Here are this week's nominees:

John Cooper, Southland

One thing that's consistent about Officer John Cooper, he's dedicated to how his work as a police officer can help the people of Los Angeles, even when he doesn't get any appreciation for the effort.

This week, we learned that Cooper has been trying to get an abandoned trailer removed for some time. It was more than an eyesore, it had become a shelter for drug trafficking and prostitution, but Cooper's requests all ended up lost in a pile of city paperwork and no amount of follow-up phone calls seemed to help.

Finally, Cooper came up with a clever solution. By dragging the trailer partially into the street it went from being a nuisance to a safety hazard —  and it became a job the city will quickly get done.

Saul & Jonathan, Brothers & Sisters

We've been watching Saul's relationship with Jonathan build slowly over the past several weeks and this week it finally reached a boil. After a disastrous Valentine's Day that included  jealousy-baiting and Saul feeding Jonathan semi-deadly shrimp, they finally faced their feelings and kissed.

It's not often we see gay men over fifty treated seriously on TV (especially romantically) and Brothers & Sisters has been developing this relationship with real care. We can't wait to see what's next for them.

Owen Cavanaugh, The Good Wife

Once again, Owen certainly brought a good dose of snark as his sister Alica helped him move to Chicago, and during the trip he managed to figure out her feelings for her boss, Will. He may still be primarily serving Alicia's story, but he usually manages to be a hilarious presence, and now that he lives in the same city as his sister, we're hoping to see more of him on future episodes

Teddy Montgomery, 90210

Things started badly for Teddy this week, heartbroken from Ian's betrayal and suddenly facing a loss of social status at West Beverly High after coming out. However, Silver found a great new stress relief technique for him this week — hitting tennis balls off of a roof until he accidentally hits a future love interest. Based on their first meeting, we can't wait to see Teddy get to know Marco better.

Vote for your favorite by Midnight PST Sunday. Be sure to check back on Monday to see who you've picked as Gay of the Week!
