Battle of the Network Gays! Glee Edition!

Every week we pick the gays who made the biggest splash on television and let you decide who will be crowned Gay of the Week. However, this week, we're doing something a little different and focusing on the gays of Glee, after an amazing episode. Since this is a special edition, we're including lesbian Santana, who has become a part of the guys' storyline.
Glee has been an amazing show in terms of gay visibility, a whirlwind cultural force that has given plenty of screen time and character development to its gay teen characters, making them some of the most popular characters on TV. But which one made the biggest splash this week?
Blaine Anderson

This week, we learned more about Blaine's history when he told Kurt about his previous prom experience, when his attempt at being out and proud at the prom left him the victim of violence at the hands of his classmates. Kurt offered to go to his prom by himself, rather than make Blaine relive that experience, but Blaine refused to let that memory stop him from attending another prom, a courageous move that let him be there for Kurt's terrible prom experience.
Kurt Hummel

Things have been quieter since Kurt returned to McKinley High, making him believe things had gotten better in his absence. Unfortunately, Kurt was in for a huge letdown when he realized that the school elected him as prom queen as a joke. Kurt was extremely hurt by their cruelty, but he quickly realized he couldn't run away and give them a victory. Instead, he returned to bravely give a proud and defiant acceptance speech, showing his classmates he wasn't going to let them tear him down.
Dave Karofsky

Things have really changed for the closeted jock who bullied and tormented Kurt at the beginning of the school year and now patrols the halls of McKinley making sure they're safe for Kurt. When faced with Kurt's optimism, Karofsky broke down and apologized for his earlier bullying of Kurt. Until now, Dave maintained his defenses, refusing to let anyone to see more than the persona he created to hide himself, but he's been letting Kurt see his unguarded self, a step towards accepting himself.
Still, we can see how far Dave still has to grow with his reaction to Kurt being voted prom queen. While the prank was clearly at Kurt's expense, Karofsky completely panicked, especially once it was time for the Prom King and Queen to dance together in front of the entire school.
Santana Lopez

As the "law and order prom queen candidate," Santana formed the Bully Whips, patrolling the halls of McKinley High to keep them safe for gay kids and creating a reminder that bullying isn't acceptable at McKinley.
However, she also faced heartbreak as Kurt and Karofsky's elections as prom queen and queen was taken as a personal rejection. Thankfully, once Brittany pointed out that Kurt must be feeling even worse, Santana was able to find the strength to go out there and be there for him, despite her pain.
Also, let's not forget about Santana's awesome dancing:

Vote for your favorite by Midnight PST Sunday. Be sure to check back on Monday to see who you've picked as Gay of the Week!
