Did You Vote? Tell Us About It!

Well, at least I got it out of the way. I headed over to my local polling station around 8:30 A.M. this morning. I was shocked to find the place almost deserted. I live in a small town, with a lot of red state voters, so maybe that low turnout is encouraging?

Probably no surprise, but I voted Democratic. As will probably most of the AfterElton community. I wasn't nearly as enthusiastic as I was in 2008, but disappointing as President Obama and the Democrats have been over GLBT issues (and for the President's hands off handling of the BP oil spill - but that's another story) I realize this anticipated Republican surge we've been hearing about for months is probably a bad thing for the country. So I did what I could to stem the tide and pulled the lever.
