Marry, Bury, or Do! “Best Leading Actor” Oscar Nominees

This week's candidates are also competing for the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the upcoming Oscars. Which of them would you...

James Franco

This raspy-voiced charmer is well-known as a friend to the gays, but gained the attention of the Academy after hacking his leg off on the silver screen. He's played some surprisingly high-profile gay roles (Milk and Howl to name a couple), but he's been nominated for his work in 127 Hours in addition to co-hosting the Oscars themselves.

Javier Bardem

He's probably best known as the psychotic Anton in No Country for Old Men, but this year he's nominated for starring in the Spanish-language film Biutiful as a troubled father with cancer. He also played a gay poet in Before Night Falls and sparked controversy shortly after same-sex marriage was legalized in Spain by saying that if he were gay, he would "get married tomorrow, just to mess with the Church."

Colin Firth

British actor best known for playing love interests in such films as Pride and Prejudice, Love Actually, and Mamma Mia (though he's less of a “love interest” in that one … at least to the ladies). He's nominated for the critically acclaimed The King's Speech, where he plays King George VI, who struggles with stuttering and English politics.
