Full Moon Fever: Sexy Werewolves of TV and Film

For the most part, vampires take the lead in the sexy monster sweepstakes. They're the featured players in most of the supernatural dramas, with the werewolves making an appearance later in the story. Its about time the lycanthropes got their credit for making the supernatural steamy. Here are some of our favorites:

Tyler Posey, Tyler Hoechlin and Ian Bohen, Teen Wolf

When MTV decided to pull a Buffy and take a horror-comedy movie and turn it into a serious teen drama, they gave us the rare show where the werewolves were the stars. Even better, Teen Wolf made sure to give us three hottie wolves to satisfy different tastes, whether you liked them cute but dim, intense but guarded, or scary and menacing. As if that weren't enough, there was Scott's lacrosse teammates, who added a bad boy jerk, an out jock and an adorable, dependable pal to viewer's crushworthy choices. The only thing Teen Wolf needs is a lot of hoyay, a handful of IQ points for Scott, and more locker room scenes.

Russell Tovey, Being Human

A lot of werewolf stories focus on the struggle to maintain one's humanity while dealing with the beast within, but Being Human memorably dealt with mundane little details like getting to work on time, finding an affordable apartment with enough space for a cage, and losing all your knicknacks after transforming in your living room. Thankfully, being on the BBC, we also got to see more of Russell Tovey's post-transformation naked body than most supernatural shows would allow to be seen.

Sam Trammell*, Joe Manganiello and Grant Bowler, True Blood

* Honorary

When True Blood added werewolves to the world of Bon Temps, they had to compete with the good looks of vampires Eric and Bill. They also needed to provide a contrast between the werewolves and Sam, a guy who could turn into any nearby animal. With the loner Alcide and the wild Coot, we got guys who made Sam look like a domesticated dog. Teen Wolf gave us three kinds of werewolves to pick from, True Blood gave us a lone wolf, a pleasure-focused pack member, and a loyal companion.

Seth Green, Buffy the Vampire Slayer

While Buffy primarily battled vampires, she encountered a lot of different monsters When the Scooby Gang tried to find a werewolf attacking Sunnydale residents, it turned out to be someone they knew — cute and snarky guitarist Daniel "Oz" Osbourne. Like many werewolves, Oz struggled with the balance of being man and beast, but Oz found ways to keep his curse from disrupting his life. Lucky for Oz, living over a hellmouth meant that his sleeping in a cage three nights a month was one of the duller things they faced.

Taylor Lautner, The Twilight Series

Even people who roll their eyes at the idea of Twilight with its sparkly vampires and abstinence themes know about the Edward vs Jacob triangle, thanks to Taylor Lautner's good looks and even more impressive muscular torso. Thankfully, Jacob liked to think ahead and avoid clothes that would just tear when he transformed, and spent most of his time avoiding shirts.
