AfterElton Briefs: T.R. sings, Amy Sedaris gets bunny love, and more!

Matthew Rhys and Dave Annable in Madrid. Caliente!

In a continued effort to bring you all that is important in the world of gay entertainment and ensure that you are being spoon-fed images of gorgeous, commoditized manflesh, we present the newly-minted AfterElton Briefs. Following the usual assortment of carefully-selected news items, interested readers can find a refreshing pic of a hot man in underwear after the jump. Yes, we're serious.

  • T.R. Knight will be among the Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice stars singing in a benefit to raise money for people who were out of work during the writers' strike. T.R., babe, we love ya ... but let's try one without the banjo, k?
  • At top, a few of the Walker sibs from Brothers & Sisters made an appearance in Madrid for Fox. They're just as cute in other time zones!
  • Finally, there's nothing gay about this, but the Dutch department store HEMA (which was my favorite thing about Amsterdam) has the coolest online store I've ever seen. Click on this and then just wait for about 30 seconds and you'll see what I mean ... absolutely brilliant.

And today's Briefs are brought to you by...

Bravo's Green Week: Todd Oldham makes snowflakes, Amy Sedaris throws nothing away

For NBC's "Green is Universal" week, Bravo's Andy Cohen had a video chat with designer Todd Oldham and Amy Sedaris about being green friendly. The mix of Sedaris and Oldham turns out to be pretty cute, blending silliness with some serious eco-talk.

Sedaris, BTW, came to the chat wearing a cute green skirt she got while filming a music video with a monkey for Dolly Parton. That's right, there's a Dolly Parton video coming up that has both Amy Sedaris and a monkey.

Both Sedaris and Oldham make finding ways to turn waste products into a craft. Oldham turns an old plastic bag into a snowflake and a bathroom tissue roll into a toy for her pet rabbits. (Unsurprisingly, Sedaris also reveals a love of making the Land-O-Lakes butter mascot flash her top.) Sedaris seems to be able to find a new use for everything.

On a more serious note, the trio compare a lot of little ways they try to reduce the strain they put on the environment. Oldham requests a pitcher of water instead of bottled water. Top Design's Goil also calls via phone in to bring up the impact of buying locally (and then he and Todd discuss renewable building materials).

It's all cuter and a little more fun than I would have expected when I checked it out. You can see it for yourself at Bravo's web site or watch each clip individually after the break:

To Make a Long Story Short ... Craig is "outrageous," Project Runway is gayer than ever, and more!

  • I for one have been thrilled to see the smiling puss of Michael C. Hall (David from Six Feet Under) plastered all over the city for Dexter's new season. And I actually love the show so much that I'm totally down with the blood-filled fountains as well. Call me kooky!

  • My favorite Amy Sedaris completist has the video of Amy's recent visit to Martha Stewart, in which she somehow manages to sass-talk the domestic dictator for ten straight minutes and live to tell about it. (Favorite line: "Oh, no one's gonna eat chutney, Martha!")
  • The ever-perceptive WOW Report deconstructs the cover of a children's book called Tops & Bottoms. Sometimes a rabbit holding an ear of corn is not just a rabbit holding an ear of corn.
  • James Blunt recently appeared on Ellen and hit on her, noting that he's "very effeminate," which tickled her so much that she wound up doing a Fabulous Baker Boys on his piano.
  • And don't forget to read Michael's latest column, in which he reveals the gay boys of Project Runway 4, talks about how AfterElton.com came to be, and shares some tips on how to have the Best.Gay.Week.Ever!
