Make Me A Supermodel

Bravo's "A-List Awards" to include a mini "Project Runway" reunion

Even though the next Project Runway season is only a few weeks away (it debuts sometime next month) anyone feeling a bit of withdrawal will get a fashion fix next week as Bravo's A-List Awards will include a charity action featuring Project Runway alums designing dresses for an octet of fabulous stars. The proceeds from the auction will be donated to UNICEF's efforts in Myanmar. Three gay Runway designers will be a part of the mix:

Chris March will be designing a dress for Make Me a Supermodel winner Holly Kiser.

Season two fave Nick Verreos will get to design a dress for gay fave Kathy Griffin.

Hairspay lead Nikki Blonsky will sport an outfit from early season three exit Malan Breton.

The rest of the celebrity list includes plenty of women on the gay pop culture radar including Sex and the City columnist Candace Bushnell (wearing a dress by Daniel Franco), Brothers & Sisters' Rebecca Budig (sporting a design by Alison Kelly), Mario Lopez' former Dancing with the Stars partner Katrina Smrnoff (modeling a Michael Knight design), model Nikki Taylor (paired with Laura Bennett) and tattoo artist Kat Von D (aptly wearing a dress by Sweet P).

As excited as I am, I'm a bit bummed that my all-time fave Diana Eng isn't on the list -- I would have loved to see her designing for a sci-fi diva like Sigourney Weaver. Still, the chance to see those designers together again has me a little bit excited, especially with "Uncle Nick", Chris and Malan coming back.

Liveblogging "Make Me a Supermodel" Finale: Will Gay Ronnie Get Crowned?

Tonight's the night! Tonight we will find out whether our model-mo Ronnie Kroell will walk away with the title of "Supermodel." Over the last 14 weeks we've grown to love Ronnie's honesty, determination, kindness, (and abs) but who are we kidding?

We voted to keep the hope alive that just once we'd get to see Ronnie and Prison Ben make out. We have exactly 60 minutes for it to happen and I'm not ruling anything out before Ben's wife walks in the door and slaps Ronnie into next Tuesday. Don't be a dream stealer, it could happen.

While I truly, madly, deeply believe that either Perry or Holly should win tonight, I do not discredit the power of the people and the people love them some Bronnie! As the cliche goes, this really is anyone's game. Tonight either Ronnie Kroell, Prison Ben, Perry Ullmann or Holly Kiser will win a buttload of prizes and the honor of calling themself a Supermodel.

Let's find out who won shall we? Welcome to the final liveblog for Season 1 of Bravo's Make Me a Supermodel!

Make Me a Supercuckold: Preview of tonight's "Supermodel" finale

If you're wondering exactly how it is that Bravo is going to manage to fill an entire hour of Make Me a Supermodel finale without any challenges, here's your answer: emotional sabotage!

Yes, the pretties are reunited with their loved ones, and for some it don't feel so good. Will Perry take back his tabloid-fresh, paparazzo-adjacent girlfriend? Eh, who cares ... We're really waiting to see what happens when Ronnie meets Ben's wife, April, and the two fight to the death, Highlander-style. "THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!!!"*

Of course, our intrepid liveblogger, Dan, will be here at 10PM EDT to hold your hand through every manufactured emotional turn. Any thoughts on who will win? Will Holly's squirrel-fed good looks and backwater charm win America's hearts? Did Bronnie split the vote with their alliance? Or will Perry's sympathy play put him through to the win?

* We of course have absolutely no desire to see Ronnie ruin anyone's marriage, and the showhobromance has been dead for weeks anyway. We just don't get enough chances to reference Highlander

Quiz Time: Which "Make Me a Supermodel" Model Are You? This Is Your Chance To Be Ronnie Kroell

We're just days away from finding out who will win Bravo's Make Me a Supermodel but if you need something to brighten those Monday blues, we've got just the thing. Take the Which Model Are You Quiz!

This is your chance to be the next Ronnie Kroell or Perry Ullmann or Prison Ben without having to deal with the favoritism, the backstabbing, the public humiliation of being weighed on cable television or having to swim in a tank with a snake.

There is a downside though, that means no Tyson Beckford in your future, no Claymazing and no bunking with your straight-boy crush. I never said the online quiz was fair.

As you can see from the picture above, I'm a Casey! I'll be interested to find out which Model each of you receive because there's a little rumor going around that Casey is the favored answer. If you're a Ronnie or a Perry, please let us know the voodoo that you do because I've tried numerous answers and I'm a Casey through and through.

Everyone post your answers in the comments section so we can track which AfterElton reader will be the next Supermodel!

*Special thanks to Guillermo for the heads up!

Liveblogging "Make Me a Supermodel" Reunion Special: Bronnie Answer The Burning Que(er)stions

The walking toothpicks of Make Me a Supermodel reunite tonight but will it be a lovely-dovey gathering like on Project Runway or a knock down catfight like those heinous Real World/Road Rules reunions? Aside from the occasional battle of the sexes and Prison Ben's impersonation of a homophobe this show has managed to remain pretty hatred free so I'm expecting cuddles and kisses instead of hair pulling and chair throwing. I guess that's a good thing...

It's been one hell of a season and I'm so glad to have played host to all of your comments so let's not disappoint tonight. Even though there's no catwalk competition or photo assignment, it doesn't mean we can't be Mean Girls and dish the dirt on the models we've grown to love and loathe over the last 12 weeks.

I don't know about you but I've switched faves more than BritBrit's switched personalities (her personal best being that receptionist gig at the tattoo removal office) and I've gone from Dom to Shannon to Ronnie to Perry all the way to Holly for the win.

I've made my love for Perry and Holly well known over the last couple episodes and as much as I want to cheer on our gay fave Ronnie Kroell, I just don't see him as a high fashion model. Sure he's adorable, sweet, and determined to win but my heart and my keen catwalk censors tell me Perry and Holly have it in the bag.

None of this matters because tonight it's all about looking back on the last 12 weeks (and barely hearing from wallflowers like Dom, Katy or Jay) and praising our Final 4 Models: Ronnie, Prison Ben, Perry and Holly.

The Make Me a Supermodel Reunion Special liveblog begins now...

"Make Me a Supermodel" Super-Scandalous Reunion Video Preview

Tomorrow night I'll be back liveblogging the Make Me a Supermodel Reunion special and I can't tell you guys how much I've missed being snarky and commenting on our favorite reality show over the last two weeks. I've been having BRONNIE withdrawal something fierce!

I almost hate to admit it, but since returning from Paley I still haven't watched the last hot tranny mess of an episode yet! I've been busy and I want to save it until right before the reunion so that I can prolong the end of what has truly become the breakout reality hit of the season.

I refuse to believe that in just two weeks we'll be without our go-to-gay Ronnie Kroell, his life-partner pal Prison Ben, Perry "I want to do bad things to you" Ullmann and Holly (Hobby?) not to mention Niki and TyTy! But, it's not over yet kids...

Tomorrow night is the Make Me a Supermodel "Watch What Happens" Reunion hosted by Bravo's fabulous Andy Cohen and the first question out of his mouth better be "Where can Dan and the AfterElton readers get that gaydorable BRONNIE shirt?"

Don't forget to come back Thursday night at 10pm EST to comment on all the action as the Make Me a Supermodel Reunion Special gets down and dirty with the 10 eliminated contestants and our 4 finalists.

What's Gay on Hulu?

Hulu.com officially launched last week, and for those who may not be aware, it is the online distribution channel developed as a joint partnership between NBC and FOX. The site contains clips and full episodes from television shows both old and new. Like YouTube, users can freely embed content from Hulu.com anywhere else on the web (the clips that follow are examples). Unlike YouTube, the site won't host any user-generated content, and each media clip has short advertisements at the beginning and/or the end.

In addition to material from FOX and NBC, Hulu also offers content from their many media partners such as Bravo, the Sci Fi Channel, FX, Sony, the USA Network, E!, and others. (Unfortunately, ABC, which among the major networks has the best LGBT track record, does not participate in Hulu.)

Despite having a lot of titles to choose from and uniformly excellent video quality, I was a little disappointed by how Hulu's content was presented and its scattershot coverage.

For instance, you missed a recent episode of Bravo's Make Me a Supermodel and want to catch it. Too bad they only have one full episode from this series online and, predictably, it's not the one you want. Aargh!

The only available Supermodel episode (108):

Or, you might see they have Buffy the Vampire Slayer on the list of available titles. You click through and start scanning the Buffy offerings to discover that Hulu only offers the season 1 episodes. Boo!

Since searching by show title wound up being so frustrating, I checked out the other methods of browsing their catalog. For instance, you can search by genre. Under the genre listings you'll find: Comedy, Horror, Family & Kids, Lifestyle & Fashion, etc., but "Gay & Lesbian" isn't listed anywhere.

Striking out in my hunt for gay content there, I decided to run a word search. I was a little curious what would pop up if I searched for “gay.”

Predictably, much of the “gay” material that floats to the surface is from Bravo. Near the top we find a clip of Kathy Griffin hosting the Gay Porn Awards; or Patty Stanger of Millionaire Matchmaker giving her dimwitted opinion on the mechanics of gay dating:
