Orlando Jones to play gay (again) in indie dramedy Misconceptions

Wacky pregnancies are the new precocious children when it comes to indie movie formulas, thanks to the runaway success of Juno. News hit today that a new film that deals with two gay men having a child through a religious conservative surrogate mother entitled Misconceptions has locked its central cast, which includes Orlando Jones (who played the gay character George on Men in Trees for the past few seasons) and David Moscow as his "life partner". Here's a blurb on the plot:

The story centers on a religiously conservative married woman from the South who receives a message from God telling her to act as a surrogate mother for two gay men ... Jones will play Terry, the hopeful parent who comes to the woman's home to micromanage her pregnancy and in the process causes havoc.

A gay man who micromanages and causes havoc? That's a new one! Still, a film that tackles topics such as this is undoubtedly a good thing to have around if only for the discussion it could kickstart (I Now Pronounce You a Means to an End) and Jones was great on Trees, so his participation is encouraging.

As for David Moscow, the other half of the couple, he may be best known for playing the young version of Tom Hanks in Big or for his run on the sitcom Zoe, Duncan Jack and Jane (he was Duncan).

As you can see, he's all grows up now!

Alexis gets cranky, Orlando gets cast, Jennifer gets miffed, and Cold Case gets loved.
