Gay Wheels ReviewsGay Wheels Reviews video blog (Ep. 5): Mercedes-Benz "BlueTech"
Mercedes-Benz has been synonymous with Diesel cars for over 100 years so it makes sense that they are the first to introduce the latest diesel technology to the U.S. market. Dubbed “BlueTech”, it is a clean diesel technology that will have you and your friends not believing your ears or eyes. It is clean, quiet and actually FUN to drive. Gaywheels.com’s Joe LaMuraglia spent a day driving the new BlueTech-equipped diesels in Vermont recently and put together this video review for your viewing pleasure. Check it out after the break! Gaywheels.com’s Joe LaMuraglia took part in the “Drive to Outfest” put on by General Motors. GM’s Saturn brand was the official automotive sponsor of the largest LGBT film festival in the country, Outfest, held in Los Angeles July 9 -21, 2008. In conjunction with that sponsorship, GM’s diversity communication group hosted 9 reporters from GLBT media around the country and put on a ride and drive event from West Hollywood to Malibu. The event featured Saturn cars as well as some of the Hybrid vehicles currently offered by GM. Watch and listen to GM’s diversity group share why they think the LGBT community is important in their outreach. Check it out after the break! Submitted by on Mon, 2008-07-21 16:01. Gay Wheels Reviews video blog (Ep. 3): Jeep Grand Cherokee
Gay Americans not only want their cake, they want to eat it off the rippling stomach of an A&F model. Hold on, that’s Gaywheels.com editor Joe LaMuraglia’s fantasy, but you get the idea. He wonders though, is there an automotive equivalent of that dream? With fuel prices north of the $4/gallon mark, it is hard to imagine that there might be an answer for those that can’t live without their SUV. Joe puts a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel to the test in the mountains of Colorado and encounters snow, mountains, hot guys and a puppy along the way. Check it all out, after the break! The two “gay Joes” from Gaywheels.com are at it again. This time, they test out the newest compact SUV from gay-friendly Volkswagen. The Tiguan is late to the compact SUV party and the two Joes wonder if it is pretty enough for people to even notice. There is fashionably late and just plain ol' LATE.
Watch the video after the break and see which category this late arrival falls into. Submitted by on Thu, 2008-06-26 12:49. New video blog! "Gay Wheels Reviews" takes the new Yukon Hybrid for a spin
The first Gay Wheels video review features a 2008 GMC Yukon Hybrid. Gaywheels.com publisher Joe LaMuraglia and contributing editor Joe Tralongo put the $50K SUV to the test in and around the roads of New York City. General Motors claims that the 5,835 pound SUV can get up to 22 MPG in the city — similar mileage to a 4-cylinder Toyota Camry. They boys from Gaywheels.com set out on a potato chip-fueled road trip to see if the Yukon is really a Hybrid ... or just a bunch of hype. Check it all out, after the break!
