"Broadway Backwards" gets pretty gaySometimes, you have to take a step “backwards” to move forward. That's the lesson of Broadway Backwards, the annual concert in which the men of Broadway sing songs traditionally sung by women, and vice versa, to benefit New York's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center. This year's event, held on Monday, February 4 at the American Airlines Theatre, was a smashing success. Here are photos of some of the highlights.

Seth Rudetsky, Broadway's favorite busybody, was the concert's host
Liz Callaway sang “Pretty Women” from Sweeney Todd without any of the throat slashing you'll see in the movie
Charles Busch, sans drag, gave a heartbreaking rendition of "The Music That Makes Me Dance" from Funny Girl. Barbra would have been proud!
