Who Would You Like to Join for Dinner? Lady Gaga? Rachel Maddow?

It's a common question and a fun fantasy to dream about having someone famous over for dinner. It's a chance to get past the legend created by history or stardom, an opportunity to see a side of them normally denied to us.

After discussing the three people we'd like to see disappear, the hot topic of discussion in the AfterElton break room has been: Which three people would you like to have dinner with?

You're not defining your terms, so I'm going full-on unplugged-Zoltar-in-Big (basically, meaning magic without limits).

My fantasy dinner party includes my mother (who is dead), myself at age 20, and myself at age 80. And if the age 80 guy doesn't show up, I'll be spooked!

I would love to have dinner with Thomas Jefferson and hear from him just what he had in mind for the country he helped create. And I'd love to get his thoughts on how the country has changed and what he thinks of the current political situation. Next, I'd want to dine with Martin Luther King Jr and get his thoughts on the first black president and race relations in the modern day. And finally I'd love to have a meal with Oscar Wilde, because I bet he'd make hilarious dinner conversation (and there'd be a chance for post-dinner nookie!)
