TV on Tap: GLAAD Takes on Roland Martin's Tweets, "Glee" Gets a Hiatus, "Awake" Gets a Premiere Date and a Bigger Role for Gabourey Sidibe on "The Big C"

Chill your trendiest cocktail shaker! (No not that cocktail shaker, that's last season's Gaultier.)
Patsy and Edina have another misadventure tonight.
News
After several disastrous weeks, NBC is giving up on The Firm and finally setting a date for the premiere of the highly-anticipated drama Awake (which co-stars B.D. Wong), which will debut on March 1. In the meantime, repeats of Grimm will take over The Firm's time slot.
In further scheduling news, Fox will be putting Glee on hiatus to make room for returning comedies Breaking In (with new cast member Megan Mullally) and I Hate My Teenage Daughter. I don't think this is bad news for Glee fans, since Fox is waiting until after the February sweeps to take Glee off the air and bringing it back before the next sweeps period in May. However, most TV pundits aren't expecting Raising Hope to survive the move to a tough time slot.
During the Super Bowl, CNN contributor Roland Martin tweeted jokes about the kind of guy who would be excited about H&M's ads for David Beckham's underwear line. GLAAD has issued a call to action and collected Martin's past comments about gay issues. Considering some of the people CNN puts on the air, I doubt they're capable of being embarrassed about Martin's history.
First there was the American version of Kath & Kim, now Selma Blair will star in the Charlie Sheen adaptation of Anger Management. I might have to reconsider following Blair if she keeps picking projects like this.
Lifetime is developing a mini-series about the 1999 tragedy at Columbine High School. That sounds like a bad idea, considering the way the channel's Drew Peterson movie turned out, but the creative team sounds better than the usual Lifetime movie.
The Big C has promoted Gabourey Sidibe to series regular for the upcoming third season.
ABC has ordered an Ellen DeGeneres-produced pilot that stars the amah-zing Portia de Rossi. The Smart One focuses on a brilliant woman who goes to work for her sister, a not-as-smart former beauty queen-turned-mayor.
In ratings news, Thursday saw American Idol's ratings stabilize, The Big Bang Theory won against Idol for the third week running and 30 Rock hit a series low -- though that might be the fault of NBC's press department. Basically, they mixed up the episode descriptions for last two episodes and many DVRs mistook last week's episode as a repeat.

Ellen's getting a visit from The Big Bang Theory star and future cast member of The Normal Heart, Jim Parsons.
Pretty Little Liars (ABC Family) 8:00 PM ET
It's time for Rosewood High's "Truth-Up Day" which sounds like the principal got inspried after watching an episode of the anti-bullying reality show If You Really Knew Me and decided to increase the drama with the addition of a sleepover. After that sexting scandal, Hannah and Kate are stuck together as Truth-Up Day partners while Spencer tries to figure out how Jason can make chaperoning look sexy. Or something like that. I got distracted by Jason looking sexy.
How I Met Your Mother (CBS) 8:00 PM ET
Lily and Marshall decides to throw a housewarming party in tonight's epside, which I have to admit leaves me a little disappointed. I mean, Lily and Marshall are the rare TV couple I could see facing the home repair list of procrastination (alright, I'm sure HIMYM would have a great name for it) where they put off the housewarming party until they get through a list of household fixes (how can you give a housewarming party when the previous homeowners thought lilac was an acceptable color for an accent wall?)
The Voice (NBC) 8:00 PM ET
Before the auditions continue, the judges team up for a medley (thank goodness they didn't call it a mash-up) of Prince songs.
2 Broke Girls (CBS) 8:30 PM ET
Now that they've made-up with Sophie over that horrible note (as well as the whole 'We thought you were a woman of ill repute' mixup) Max and Caroline seek to prove that they could be valuable employees to Sophie. I don't think it bodes well that the guest cast this week includes a character going by the name of "body" (he's a "hot" body, but I don't think that makes it any less of a problem).
Supah Ninjas (Nick) 8:30 PM ET
Nickelodeon continues to burn-off episodes by airing them in random time slots,. Tonight, the Ninjah's face a human-machine offspring of Mechanov.
The Lying Game (ABC Family) 9:00 PM ET
With Ethan running from the law and Sutton following him, they end up traveling to the reservation where his father lives. It's a chance for Sutton to get to know Ethan better, something that didn't interest her until her sister treated him like a person. That is exactly the kind of plotting that makes this show so watchable. Meanwhile, the twin that's a terrible liar is forced to be Ethan's alibi. From the looks of this week's previews, Emma's the kind of bad liar who admits to crimes you didn't even think would be relevant to the questioning.
Being Human (Syfy) 9:00 PM ET
We've got another transitional episode tonight as Josh meets some new werewolf buddies, Aidan feels himself dragged back into his old life and Annie meets another ghost.
RuPaul's Drag Race (Logo) 9:00 PM ET
Rick Fox and John Salley are the guest-judges for tonight's challenge. The remaining queens try to show that they can make a glowing performance as lady wrestlers. I hope the challenge includes a round where they have to perform in sketches with really corny jokes, an important skill in proper women's wresting.
Castle (ABC) 10:00 PM ET
Mark Pellegrino seems to be the new ubiquitous actor who is hard to miss because he's so good in so many different roles (see also: Mark Sheppard, Callum Keith Rennie and others escaping my memory). Tonight, he's appearing on Castle as the series goes noir with Castle and Beckett looking into the death of a treasure hunter that might be connected to a 1947 case.
Smash (NBC) 10:00 PM ET
We've been hearing about it for months, and tonight NBC's musical drama finally debuts. I checked out the preview and, honestly, wasn't as enchanted as many of the critics. Angelica Huston is amazing whenever she's on the screen, but so many of the characters are just unrelentingly unpleasant. (Still, it's interesting to watch Jack Davenport play an unrelenting jerk.) Still, there's enough promise to keep me watching. I'm eager to see how everyone else reacts.
Hawaii 5-0 (CBS) 10:00 PM ET
We may be used to crazypants Steve or Chin Ho having their past come back to bother them, but tonight sees Danno dealing with a dirty cop seeking revenge on both Danno and his family.
Absolutely Fabulous (Logo) 10:30 PM ET
Eddie tries to prove that she still has "it" as she picks up a new client. If she were a smarter and more self-aware woman, that would probably mean keeping her current clients from talking to the new one, but if Eddie were smarter and more self-aware, it wouldn't be AbFab. Also, if you've ever wondered whatever happened to Baby Jane Spice, she appears in tonight's special along with La Roux.
Watch What Happens Live (Bravo) 11:00 PM ET
There's no new episode of It's a Brad Brad World tonight so Andy tries to make up for it with Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Murphy.
What will you be watching tonight? Please share in the comments!
Tomorrow's Preview

White Collar's Tiffani Thiessen is visitng Nate for a "surprise nursery delivery," though I'm not sure if they're talking about caring for babies or plants.
The River (ABC) 9:00 PM ET
ABC tries to take the "found footage" horror genre and brings it to TV. Can it work?
