TV on Tap: Tonight Jesse Tyler Ferguson Judges Dance, Roseanne Grows Nuts

Lifetime's newest reality show follows Rosanne Barr as she runs
a macadamia farm on Roseanne's Nuts.
News
NBC's adaptation of The Firm just got more interesting to me. Sci-fi fave Callum Keith Rennie has joined the series. Juliette Lewis will also star on the show. But unlike Rennie, Lewis wasn't in a movie where she tried to experience all her sexual fantasies before the world ends.
Former Boston Legal hunk (I'm suppressing memories of Human Target... which lacked a human target) Mark Valley is rejoining creator David E. Kelley as part of the cast of Harry's Law next season. Meanwhile, Jean Smart will appear in a three-episode arc.
In an odd decision, NBC has announced it will air the next two scheduled episodes of Love Bites but won't air the final episode. I like how the series uses recurring characters, so I wonder if we're going to miss some kind of attempt at concluding the series.
Could this be the final season for Desperate Housewives? TV Guide says ABC is considering making the soap's eighth season its last. ABC might make an announcement on the show's fate next month or they'll wait to see if any of its new shows look strong enough to replace it.
Deidre Hall isn't the only one returning to Days of Our Lives. Her on-screen partner Drake Hogestyn will also be reprising his role.
Not only was the manipulated crowd shot in Fox's Master Chef an appalling moment of "reality" TV ethics, it was also unnecessary. The producers felt the need to fill in a few bare spots, but it turns out the original crowd shot was fairly impressive.
Oxygen got some good news as The Glee Project's ratings continued to improve. Last Sunday's episode drew 745,00 viewers an improvement from the series' premiere (which got 465,00 viewers) and, more importantly, the sophomore episode (527,00 viewers).
Thanks to True Blood, Curb Your Enthusiasm had its best ratings in seven years.

Margaret Cho will be visiting the Talk couch today. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that someone asks her what she thinks of Marcus Bachmann.
Days of Our Lives (NBC) Check local listings
From the looks of things, we should see Sonny continue his talk with Victor today.
So You Think You Can Dance (FOX) 8:00 PM EDT
Now that we're down to 12 dancers we can look forward to two numbers choreographed by Travis Wall and Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson as this week's guest-judge!
Melissa & Joey (ABC Family) 8:00 PM EDT
When Mel has to wine and dine a Japanese businessman, Joe says he can translate for her. I expect that won't go well.
State of Georgia (ABC Family) 8:30 PM EDT
Aunt Honey gets a storyline tonight as Georgia tries get her to reconcile with her estranged best friend. I'm all for anything that might mean more screen time for Loretta Devine.
America's Got Talent (NBC) 9:00 PM EDT
Not only will we find out which acts will move on to the next round, tonight's show will include performances by Avril Lavigne and the cast of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.
Roseanne's Nuts (Lifetime) 9:00 PM EDT
What is life like for the outrageous comedian now that she owns a macadamia nut farm on the Big Island of Hawaii? According to tonight's episodes, she's been trying to manage the chaos caused to her farm by a wild pig and checking to see if a healer has the cure for her temper.
One Man's Army (Discovery) 10:00 PM EDT
Discovery's latest show has host Mykel Hawke
pitting four people who work in elite combat, counte- terrorism, law
enforcement and other tough professions against each other. They'll be competing in challenges too
tough for regular people, and I hear there may be a special reason why
AfterElton readers may want to tune in.
Rocco's Dinner Party (Bravo) 10:00 PM EDT
Rocco's guests for tonight's dinner party include Melissa Joan Hart, Christian Campbell and Mo Rocca. If this were an actual dinner party, I'd be eager to hear the conversation at that table.
Hot in Cleveland (TV Land) 10:00 PM EDT
As Melanie worries that Joy might be abusing drugs (is this going to be a Three's Company-style mixup?) Victoria decides the way to get a role in a Driving Miss Daisy musical is to enlist Elka's help to try and disguise herself as an elderly woman.
Happily Divorced (TV Land) 10:30 PM EDT
For
some reason, TV Land listed last week's episode with the same
description that it used for tonight's episode. Since we didn't see Fran join a focus group then, I figure it should happen tonight.
What will you be watching tonight? Please share in the comments!
Tomorrow's Preview
