TV on Tap: "Teen Wolf" Renewed and GLAAD Challenges CBS on Jeff's homophobic "Big Brother" Rant

Ugly Betty fans get to see Becki Newton and Christopher Gorham on the same show
for one night thanks to tonight's
Love Bites.

News

MTV has renewed Teen Wolf for a second season. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that we see more of gay jock Danny as the series continues.

CBS has dusted off the statement the network makes every time a Big Brother contestant says something appallingly homophobic or racist. Someday, I'd like to see CBS to act like this kind of behavior horrifies them, even if it doesn't mean taking the houseguest off the show.

Meanwhile, GLAAD is pushing back at CBS. pointing out that after Jeff's first controversy over homophobic comments the network asked him to appear on a season of The Amazing Race, gave him a webseries and brought him back to Big Brother. "Is this the kind of drama they were hoping to see unfold?  Is this the type of person they want associated with both the CBS and Big Brother brands?" they ask.

I wasn't planning on checking out CBS' upcoming reality series Same Name, which has celebrities switch places with people who have the same name but it turns out Kathy Griffin will be trading places with fiberglass saleswoman Kathy Giffin of Fayetteville, GA.

If you enjoy watching shows from the NBC Universal networks on Netflix, the deal has been renewed for multiple years. I think this means I'll soon be able to watch the "Queen of Jordan" episode of 30 Rock the way I do with "Dealbreakers."

Get ready for a Harold & Kumar reunion. Kal Penn will join How I Met Your Mother for a recurring role as a man Robin starts dating. I can't wait to see Barney's reaction,

Tuesday's first live episode of America's Got Talent managed to beat an all-star baseball game in the ratings.

Listings

Wipeout (ABC) 8:00 PM EDT
Are you ready for the first Wipeout all-star competition? Tomorrow night, some of the best-remembered contestants return to face the obstacle course.

So You Think You Can Dance (Fox) 8:00 PM EDT
It's time for another couple to face elimination. Maybe guest-judge Jesse Tyler Ferguson can ease the bad news with tips on how to cheat on your spouse with dance.

Burn Notice (USA) 9:00 PM EDT
Michael gets technical this week when Barry's brother is framed for attempting to hack a server, leading Barry to ask for help in finding the person who was really behind the attack.

Expedition Impossible (ABC) 9:00 PM EDT
After dealing with the heat for three episodes, the teams will face a temperature shock when they're sent to the freezing mountain peaks.

Love Bites (NBC) 10:00 PM EDT
Tonight's episode includes an appearance by Christopher Gorham. He'll be playing Annie's brother-in-law, the guy whose baby she's carrying. Unfortunately, a too-attentive receptionist might get in the way of being a happy father and husband.

Futurama (Comedy Central) 10:00 PM EDT
Bender goes into hiding after witnessing a crime committed by the robot mafia. I'd hope that means we'll see a robot Mary McCormack, but I'm starting to think a TV show that debuted in 2008 is too current a reference for Futurama.

NY Ink (TLC) 10:00 PM EDT
Ami gets a visit from Yoji, his former associate from Miami. It might be a good time for a visit since business is going through a bit of a slowdown.

Suits (USA) 10:00 PM EDT
Mike takes on a pro-bono case but it quickly turns out that it won't be as easy as he initially expected. Meanwhile, Harvey accepts a case that's very personal for Jessica.

Wilfred (fx) 10:00 PM EDT
For some reason, Ryan decides to try to reconcile with his sister, despite the awful behavior from when we first met her. I don't think Wilfred will approve but apparently he's going to have to deal with doggie day care.

Louie (fx) 10:30 PM EDT
Joan Rivers shows up in this week's episode after Louie has a bad show in Atlantic City.

Childrens Hospital (Adult Swim) Midnight EDT
As the final hour approaches for a prisoner on Death Row, the doctors at Childrens Hospital wait to see if they'll be able to use any of his organs.
