TV on Tap: A Flashback for "Covert Affairs"' Augie, Lisa Kudrow Gives "Web Therapy," and MTV's New Comedy is "Awkward."

Tonight, Covert Affairs looks back at Auggie's service in Iraq and how he lost his sight.

News

Obsessive Happy Endings fans know only 12 of the 13 episodes that were filmed have aired. It turns out that "missing episode" will air on August 24. At the moment, it looks like that will be the only new program on ABC that night.

Is the end in sight for How I Met Your Mother? As the series gets ready for its seventh season, everyone's contract ends after the eighth, and creator Craig Thomas says they're preparing as if the series were approaching its final chapter.

VH1 has ordered a second season of its scripted comedy series, Single Ladies. So far, I haven't checked it out out of fear of seeing a promo announcing a new season of Flavor of Love during the commercial breaks. Is it a show I should be watching?

Here's some news that should leave Breaking Bad fans wondering if they've been spoiled on what's coming up this season. Giancarlo Esposito (who plays terrifyingly mild-mannered drug kingpin Gus) will appear on ABC's Once Upon a Time as the spirit of the Evil Queen's magic mirror. The role is described as recurring which shouldn't tell us anything about Esposito's chance of appearing on a (theoretical) fifth season of Breaking Bad.

In further Breaking Bad news, the season premiere turned out to be the series' most-watched yet. Usually, when a show's ratings keep growing from year-to-year that's a sign of people discovering the show during the hiatus and becoming fans. That makes sense considering the enthusiasm fans and critics have for the show. Now, it seems funny to remember the nail biting that went on as early Breaking Bad fans waited for a second-season renewal.

In a bit of TV ratings schadenfreude, VH1's Famous Food — which brought appalling former reality TV stars like Heidi Montag, Big Brother winner Mike Malin and former Bachelor Jake Pavelka back to TV — was VH1's least-watched series debut this year and the remaining episodes are getting burned-off. Sometimes TV shows do get the audience they deserve.

The second episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day lost 30% of the people who watched the premiere. Honestly, a 30% drop doesn't sound like an immediate reason to worry to me, especially with a premium cable program that gets repeated, is available via On Demand and doesn't make its money from selling advertising.

Awkward. (MTV) 11:00 PM EDT
MTV's new comedy may sound familiar, as it's about an unpopular student who suddenly becomes the talk of the school after a shocking incident. However, unlike The Hard Times of RJ Berger, this one follows an unpopular girl who gets in an accident that's mistaken as a suicide attempt ... and this show is much funnier.

Web Therapy (Showtime) 11:00 PM EDT
Lisa Kudrow returns to TV with this improvised comedy where she plays a therapist who conducts three-minute webchat sessoins. There's a great guest-cast coming, including Lily Tomlin, Rashida Jones and Jane Lynch.

Bravo exec Andy Cohen will be talking with Jimmy tonight.
