TV on Tap: Alec Baldwin Will Break the "Saturday Night Live" Hosting Record, and Mo Rocca Will Be Learning to Cook

Emmy nominee Jane Kaczmarek appears on tonight's Wilfred .

News

Saturday Night Live producer Lorne Michaels announced who will be the first hosts of the season. Alec Baldwin will take on the season premiere, giving him the record for hosting SNL the most times. (Previously, Baldwin was tied with Steve Martin.) The second episode will see Bridesmaids star Melissa McCarthy host for the first time.

ABC's The Middle is getting ready for an Everybody Loves Raymond reunion as Ray Romano will be appearing as a man who ruined Frankie and Mike's honeymoon. Previously, Doris Roberts appeared on the show as a teacher who clashed with Frankie.

TLC has ordered a second season of NY Ink, which presumably will include out tattoo artist Robear.

The Food Network is developing a show with Mo Rocca. My Grandmother's Ravioli will feature the out comedian (and non-cook) learning family recipes from 50+ people with "big personalities." They're currently casting Rocca's foils.

Soap operas All My Children and One Life to Live may stay on TV, after all. Prospect Park, the production company planning on taking the two soaps online, are trying to sell the rights to rerun the shows on cable once they've been on the web for a little while.

The CW has ordered a few additional episodes of its returning shows so that they can have slightly shorter hiatuses. For Supernatural and Nikita that means one extra week of new programming, while 90210 and Gossip Girl fans will get two. Unfortunately, due to the complexity of the show no additional Vampire Diaries episodes were ordered.

This is fascinating for the marketing and ratings nerds out there (that might just be me). CBS is pushing to stop dividing viewers by age and gender, instead grouping people into how they watch TV, with NBC developing a similar system.

Childrens Hospital (Adult Swim) Midnight ET
When the doctors learn that Owen has a secret wife (Alicia Silverstone) it creates drama among the various affairs (hopefully that will include Glenn) Owen has had at the hospital. Can they possibly beat the greatness of T.R. Knight wrestling Justin Chamber to the ground yelling "You gave me slyph?" You gave me slyph?" on Grey's Anatomy?

Trent's ex-wife (Oliver Platt if my visual ID is correct) arrives in San Diego to try to steal a local treasure.
