TV on Tap: Eric Stoltz Explores "Modern Love," Kate Mulgrew is a "Warehouse 13" Regent and "Breaking In" Lives Again

In a special hour-long Louie, the comedian goes to Afghanistan to perform.

News

Eric Stoltz is headed to Lifetime. The Caprica alum will appear in Modern Love, a dramedy from The Big C creator Jenny Bicks. Stoltz will play a newspaper editor who starts working on the relationship advice column, with stories from actual New York Times columns to tell stories of the modern relationships.

I'm sure the old school As the World Turns fans will be happy to hear that Tamara Tunie will be making a short return to daytime TV. She'll be appearing on Days of Our Lives as a tough judge.

Not many series can claim to have come back from cancellation but Fox's Breaking In has gotten an order for 13 episodes after originally being given the boot. I've been disappointed in enough Christian Slater shows to avoid this one, but maybe its time to reconsider that.

This bit of casting news certainly sounds like a spoiler for Breaking Bad fans. Giancarlo Esposito has joined the cast of the USA pilot Over/Under. The series follows a day trader who loses his job and moves his family to Brooklyn where he starts a bookie business with one of the locals. Esposito will play a former teacher of the day trader's wife (Wonderfalls alum Caroline Dhavernas), who reconnects with her. I expect it'll take some adjustment to see Esposito play a man who says encouraging things without an underhanded motive.

Guess who is joining the Warehouse 13 team? Kate Mulgrew will appear for a four-episode story arc starting next week. She'll play a regent who has a past with one of the agents.

Shonda Rimes is working to put another period drama on ABC. The series will go back to 1895, as Gilded Lillys will follow the staff and owners of New York's first luxury hotel.
