Neil Patrick Harris' Late Emmy Nod. Lost in the Mail?

This just in, The Wrap is reporting that everybody's favorite awards show MC, Neil Patrick Harris has received a last minute Emmy nod. (An extra one - he's already up for Outstanding Supporting Actor for How I Met Your Mother, and Outstanding Guest Actor for Glee.)

He's being recognized for his work hosting this year's Tony Awards, which is up for the "Outstanding Special Class Program" Emmy.

Generally, producers and hosts get Emmy statuettes if their show wins this category. In what looks like an oversight, Harris' name wasn't submitted along with the rest for consideration.

Which is sort of strange given that he was the very best thing about the Tonys. That closing musical number might just be the best thing the man did all year. (Aside from winning our Gay Man of the Decade contest of course!)

Anyway, Harris has now been officially added to the "Outstanding Special Class Program" ballot. That is his sixth Emmy nod to date, though he's never won.

Thoughts? Should NPH win in any of the three categories he's competing in? Will he?
