Teen Choice Awards You-Write-It Party

Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil.

It's really tough sitting around the AfterElton.com offices dreaming up fresh snark all the time, and frankly, as August hits and the dog days of summer are upon us, it really seems like a lot of effort. So in that spirit, along with those great "Choose your own adventure" books from childhood, we're going host a viewer snark party tonight for the Teen Choice Awards.

Basically, we're looking for you to join us on Twitter and on Facebook (if you haven't already "liked" us on Facebook, now is your chance! We're really nice! Plus we made 12 posts there over the weekend that will never appear on AfterElton.com) to keep a running commentary on  the awards ceremony on Fox 8-10 PM EDT. snicks will be running Facebook, and I'll be on Twitter. You can comment on the Facebook feed, or add the hashtag #AETeenChoice to your tweets. Then tomorrow, we'll use your snark to write our recap of the show, and you'll get the credit. And for those of you on the west coast, we'll still pull your comments in the morning, you you get to play, too!

While the Teen Choice Awards aren't one of the big shows, we're using this as a little bit of a warm up for the Emmy Awards that happen at the end of August. Plus, it's been too long since the boys of Glee were on our television screens, and Mark Salling, Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale, and Cory Monteith are sharing the hosting duties.

We'll start monitoring once the  show begins at 8 PM EDT on Fox. See you there!
