"90210" Scoop: Teddy's New Man is Telling Tales

As you're probably already aware, actor Kyle Riabko who plays Teddy's current love interest Ian is leaving 90210 to pursue other acting opportunities.

We've previously reported that a new character named Marco would show up in February (Episode 315) as a potential love interest for Trevor Donovan's Teddy.

Before things get serious with Marco however, Teddy will reportedly have a brief Spring Break fling with an old private school buddy played by Alan Ritchson (Episode 318).

After returning from Spring Break, Teddy can finally concentrate on Marco, and the latest spoilers we've received (via casting sides for Episode 320) indicate the new romance will get off to a shaky start when Teddy realizes Marco has been lying to him....

Teddy starts to get suspicious when Marco ducks out on a date by claiming he has a soccer game. Teddy decides to surprise Marco by turning up at the Malibu high school stadium to watch - only to be told there is no soccer game that night.

Teddy gets paranoid and thinks Marco might be seeing someone else that night. He decides to confront Marco and so goes over to the Malibu mansion where Marco claimed to live.

The woman who answers the door tells him Marco is her housemaid's son!

When Teddy at last tracks Marco down, he finds him working behind the counter at "Jersey Mike's Sub Shop" serving up greasy fries and double pastrami sandwiches.

When Marco sees Teddy enter he is mortified.

TEDDY
So I went by your house tonight.
Turns out it wasn't your house.

MARCO
I'm sorry.

TEDDY
Your mom's boss told me I could find you here.

MARCO
And here I am.

It turns out that Marco didn't think that privileged Teddy would be interested in him if he realized he was a working class schlub, so Marco misrepresented himself.

East Los Angeles, where Marco really lives.

TEDDY
I want to be with you. I want
to get to know you. The real you.
That's the only way this can work.
No lies.

MARCO
You really want to know the real me?

TEDDY
Yeah.

MARCO
Okay, then why don't you come to my
house for dinner otnight. My real house.

Later that evening Teddy goes to Marco's home in East LA where he meets Marco's parents Rosa and Javier and his younger siblings. The house is modest, but Teddy discovers that Marco is clearly adored by his family.

They welcome Teddy with open arms and the highlight of the evening is a spicy pepper eating contest in which Teddy more than holds his own. (Given Marco's hot Latin looks, this could probably be read as a metaphor.)
