Britain's Red Nose Day for Comic Relief Brought To You By the Letters "G" "A" and "Y"

What is about Britain's Comic Relief telethon "Red Nose Day" that draws in so much talent?

Below you can see out comic, actor, author and generally brilliant Stephen Fry explain exactly what's it's been like being part of the Red Nose Day effort for the past 20 years. He explains it better than I ever could.

Out star Graham Norton hosted the night with Davina, and had considerably more fun than most American telethons. Plus, he had a sense of history with previous years, as evidenced here.

He also got various prim and proper celebrities to tell their most embarrassing moments, before embarrassing them even more using his Big Red Button.

Doctor Who isn't specifically gay (though Matt Smith does play one in a movie), but I've always felt it had a certain campy sensibility. And in this clip he shows us just how distracted straight boys are by girls in short skirts.

He does manage to resolve all the issues, which is good since it would have been very dull watching the next 50 seasons of Doctor Who taking place only inside the TARDIS. Though I wouldn't mind being trapped in time and space with the adorable Rory.
