Devoted Gleeks already know that Jane Lynch’s autocratic coach will be taking her rise to power to the next level when Glee returns Tuesday night. What they haven’t known until know is her opponent’s identity. (Warning: Spoilers ahead.)

According to TV Line, Sue Sylvester will be running for Congress against none other than Kurt’s dad, Burt Hummel, played by Mike O’Malley. This is sure to amp up the rivalry even more between Sylvester and the Glee kids.

O’Malley, who was nominated for a Best Supporting Comedy Actor Emmy in 2010, was originally promised six episodes on the forthcoming season. That commitment may be expanded on as show creator Ryan Murphy referred to Sue’s campaign as “an amazing 20-episode arc.” Let the dirty tricks and mudslinging begin!
