Wedding Bells for Teddy Montgomery on "90210?" We've Got More Details!

When word came that Trevor Donovan was being dropped as a regular 90210 cast member, and the actor playing his squeeze on the show (Freddie Smith) had left for Days of Our Lives... well we sort of figured the CW nighttime soap was calling it quits on their gay teen storyline.

But producers of the show have mentioned in several interviews that they actually had a major story arc for Teddy in the first five episodes of Season Four, and also came news that actor Ryan Rottman would be brought in to play an AIDS activist and Teddy's new love interest.

Now comes a rumor (via Perez Hilton) that the show plans on a big gay wedding for Teddy. That would indeed be a major storyline - but marital bliss feels like a tidy way to sunset a gay character. 

AfterElton did some checking and a source close to the show tells us that Teddy won't actually be getting married. It's really more of a "mock" wedding done by Teddy's friends as a way of showing they support and accept both him and the idea of gay marriage. Frankly, that's a bit of a relief as the idea of Teddy getting married for real after knowing his new beau for just a few months doesn't make much sense.
