"Glee"'s Santana Proves You Can Sing "I Kissed a Girl" and Mean It

I Kissed a Girl ChainAdmittedly, this is an awkward moment to take a picture.

I suppose it was inevitable that if Glee was going to title an episode "I Kissed a Girl" they would have to bring out Katy Perry for Santana (Naya Rivera) to sing. But seeing all the girls from both New Directions and the Troubletones get in on the action is a note of solidarity I'm glad to see. And while I didn't precisely expect leering from the male members of the glee club, it's a lot of fun seeing Artie (Kevin McHale) and the others rocking out from the bleachers and celebrating the moment with the girls.

It's clever how they changed Rachel (Lea Michele)'s lines around to make them supportive of Santana. If I have a quibble with anything it's that they've overproduced the music to the point of making the voices blur together rather than letting them shine.

Given that this song has been a bone of contention within the GLTB community in the past, is it a good thing to see it repurposed like this, or is it salt in the wound?
