Video: Sebastian Shows His True Colors On "Glee"

He's like an evil king holding court with subjects he's just conquered

I may have thought that Sebastian (Grant Gustin) makes a great villain last night when I saw him go toe to toe with Santana (Naya Rivera), but this preview takes things to Cruella Deville heights. Not only is he stealing the set list for New Directions, he's making Blaine (Darren Criss) look unfaithful, and what he says to Kurt (Chris Colfer), well, it's nothing we haven't said before, but it's how he says it that makes it sting.

What works with Sebastian as a villain is that you can actually believe he believes this stuff. With Sue (Jane Lynch) you know a lot of it's a tough act. Sebastian may actually be this bad. And everyone loves a bad boy. Can you believe he made Santana blink?

But the full performance of "Smooth Criminal" is sublime. Between Sebastian's cockiness and Santana's soaring vocals, you can believe they're entirely focused on making the other back down. They don't even seem aware of the two cute guys whose cellos are nearly ready to catch on fire from the music.

What say you? Is Sebastian the kind of villain who is so bad he's good?
