Appointment Viewing: Spend Another Summer in Bon Temps, and "Melissa & Joey" Return to ABC Family

Get ready to program your DVR as we've got a week's worth of Appointment Viewing for you to follow.

Okay, Link just got on my adorkable list.

While Friday's TV tends to be pretty quiet, IFC has a couple of intriguing reality series, starting with Rhett & Link: Commercial Kings. The series follows two life-long friends as they try to help regional businesses create "epic" local TV ads. Reminding me that there's a whole segment of internet culture that escapes me, Rhett and Link are one of the most popular YouTube channels and have previously done a similar web series, "I Love Local Commercials."

I always get a kick out of local TV ads (there's one woman in my city whose hair jumps from decade to decade but never seems to pass the 1990s, it's amazing) so I've got my fingers crossed that this show captures the fun of local advertising.

Broke-Ass Stuart looking like he angered someone from the Grey Lantern Corps.

Rhett & Link is followed by Young Broke & Beautiful. The unconventional travel show stars Broke-Ass Stuart (aka Stuart Schuffman) and takes a look at the alternative culture of various American cities, finding the undiscovered parts, and the sights you'll only see if you know someone who lives there and knows it well. The series kicks off with a visit to San Diego.

Current has its weekly sanity break look at the media with a new infoMania. This week promises Erin going shopping for "essential lady items" while Brett takes on the latest campaign videos ... which should make for a good lead-in to the 11PM rerun of Countdown.

Finally, NBC has a new (for broadcast and cable viewers, at least) Friday Nights Lights, while Richard Engel and Alexandra Pelosi are guests on HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher.

Carson Kressley kicks off a new series Saturday when he travels the country looking for people who need a style makeover in Carson Nation. The premiere sees Carson head to Eureka, California where he will help a woman battling lupis, a tattoo artist who stopped taking care of himself after the death of his brother, and a Coast Guard medic who has lost touch of her feminine side.

BBC America has a new Saturday night line-up with a new episode of Outcasts, as the colonists try to find the escape pods from the ship that crashed last week. That's followed by a new episode of The Graham Norton Show with Kathy Griffin, Cameron Diaz, Bear Grylls and musical guest Friendly Fires. Normally, the mention of Grylls would make me decide to skip a week but with Kathy there ... well, I certainly hope she says something about his most ridiculous moments.

Finally, a new Come Fly with Me introduces us to Tommy, a burger joint worker who dreams of being a pilot. Unfortunately, we'll also get stuck watching a bunch of tired "giggling Japanese schoolgirl" jokes.

Over on Nickelodeon, George Takei helps the Supah Ninjas deal with a villain who turns people into dolls, Biography's Celebrity Close Calls has Morgan Fairchild recalling the time the was held hostage at gunpoint, while HGTV has David Bromstad making over another room on Color Splash.

Finally, Logo is starting Saturday with a 12-hour marathon of the powerful anti-bullying reality series, If You Really Knew Me starting at 8AM. That's followed by a new Pretty Hurts as Rand and his staff all try to go on a liquid cleanse diet together.
