All That Matters

Maybe I’m just not a very forgiving person (okay, I’m not), but I would have torn up Roman’s letter, thrown it away and we would be done. Though that’s me. But since this show is going to reunite them, they could at least take a bit of time. So many beats are being missed, it seems like they really aren’t dealing with any of their issues at all.

Still, the yearning and the angst of these two is very well played. The acting continues to be terrific, though I’m a wee bit tired of seeing Deniz bursting into tears every two seconds. Man up, dude. Nobody likes a crybaby.

In other news, I continue to love Florian to pieces. What a fantastic find and charming addition to this show. And the scenes between Annette and Roman are always fun, full of warmth and wit and truth. What I like the most is that they’re always brutally honest, but they totally love each other, and would move heaven and earth to help the other. This show always does relationships — friendships and other kinds — exceptionally well.
