The Week in Gay TV: Halloween weekend delivers scares, Graham Norton and The Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear

If its Friday, it must be time to take for The Week in Gay TV, your look at what’s coming up and what will be battling for space on your viewing schedules. Halloween weekend brings plenty of scares including a special Ghost Hunters Live while the SyFy Channel delivers a new take on Red Riding Hood with Red: Werewolf Hunter and AMC debuts zombie drama The Walking Dead.

"Hi, I'm the required creepy little girl that shows up in all scary stories."

There are still a few days until Halloween and Friday’s Smallville gets into the Halloween mood when Clark attempts to distract Lois from reporting on the Vigelante Registration Act, fearing for her safety. Unfortunately, the alternate leaves her stranded in the middle of nowhere like a group of frisky teenagers at the beginning of a horror movie.

Meanwhile, it wouldn’t be Halloween without a new Supernatural, and Friday’s episode sees Sam and Dean investigate a rash of suicides that happen after the victim was told a brutally honest truth. That truth-telling bug spreads to the Winchesters, which should put an end to the “No, nothing’s wrong” conversations Sam and Dean have been having since they were reunited.

What Not to Wear's Clinton Kelly and Stacy London

Not everything on Friday night is spooky, however, and TLC kicks off a new season of Clinton Kelly and Stacy London conducting fashion interventions on What Not to Wear. I didn’t care for the adaptation of the UK reality series when it started (without Kelly) on TLC, but it's slowly grown on me since then. I’m still not sure if that means What Not to Wear has gotten better over time, or that it merely looks better now that TLC has switched from adapting UK reality shows like Trading Spaces and Faking It to shows about large families and little people.

I’m still waiting for a Riley or Zane sighting on Degrassi but Friday’s episode brings Adam back into the spotlight as it looks like he and Fiona might be headed to a relationship. However, you can avoid a bit of Riley/Zane withdrawal by checking out , this year’s Halloween special. Usually, Teen Nick airs the out-of-continuity special but I haven’t been able to find it on their schedule.
