"Project Runway" Episode 906: When The Second Time Is ... Not The Charm. (And Tim's a Bit of an Asshat)

Season Nine of Project Runway is well underway, and after five episodes, there are still five members of Team Gay left.

Because the early going is basically just whittling down the cast to a reasonable number, we're going to eschew a regular recap and just focus on the highlights. (And many thanks to AE reader Miz Liz for continuing the recaps in the forums while we were taking a sabbatical).

Seen And Not Heard

This week's competition involves working with children. *shudder* But wait! These aren't ordinary kids, they're art students, so the annoyance level is at a reasonable decibel. The kids create a painting for each designer, and that designer has to use the painting to create something avant-garde for the runway. I was crushed that they didn't have to literally use the painting. I would've given anything to see the models try to navigate the runway with their heads poking through.

He's Baaaaack!

Joshua Christenson was booted off in the second episode, and didn't take it very well. He's been given another shot, but spends most of this episode in tears, worried about his second chance, and that he's going to blow it again. But c'mon, they wouldn't bring him back just to immediately eliminate him again, would they?

Enough Already

Can we get an accent intervention for Olivier Green?

It started out as faux-British-Madonna, and has now morphed into some kind of bizarre drunken Counselor Troi.
