"Revenge" Episode 110: "You Sabotaged Our Alliance Because You Fell For A Hooker"

"Kick! Punch! It's all in the mind"

Last night was the mid-season finale of Reven8e, and there wasn't a whole lot of progress in the main storyline, but it did provide a good setup for what comes next. Let's take a brief look at what happened, and then offer predictions for the second half of the season.

NET (New Emily Thorne) has called on her Japanese mentor Satoshi to help guide her through the next stage of Reven8e. She feels she's losing control, and he offers her physical training as well as such spiritual bon mots as, "If you let your emotions guide you, you will fail," "I worry that your mind's quest is clouded by your heart," and "We're living in a powder keg and giving off sparks."

She needs more than that from him, though. After Tyler used his wiles and travel-size lube to obtain Nolan's $20 Million contribution, poor Daniel is in the doghouse with his dad for not measuring up.

She convinces Satoshi to pose as a businessman and offer Daniel a $50 Million contribution, arguing that she needs Daniel to get a foothold in the family business, so she can explore the inner workings and find proof of her dad's innocence.

Ahhh ... but is that really why she wants to help Daniel, or could she be ... falling for him? Satoshi is suspicious.

NET gets a bigger boost in her "Take Down Tyler" plan when she makes a startling discovery. The look on her face when she gets a dose of TyleNol is priceless.

She delivers the news of Tyler's negotiation practices to Daniel, who tells his father. Conrad calls Tyler into his office and fires him, because "that's not how we do business." True. They like to f**k clients over, not under.

Well, at least Tyler still has his 20 Grand commission, right? Not so much, as Nolan decides to break the bad news to him ... without any witnesses around. Bad idea.

Tyler uses Shamu to discover Lydia spilling the beans about the Grayson's deep, dark secret, and he blackmails Conrad into re-hiring him.

Nolan feels betrayed by NET for using the sex tape, and seems genuinely hurt. Could he actually have had feelings for Tyler? Could there be more to TyleNol than a simple whore/client/con-artist/manipulator/user/passive-aggressive/senator-rentboy relationship?

The Nolan scenes were the definite highlight of the episode. It'll be interesting to see where he goes from here.

Meanwhile, TOE (The Original Emily) continues to ingratiate herself into Jack's life, and NET helps her out by giving her a diary of things she should know about Amanda's early life. Frankly, TOE is becoming a bit dull and settled. I want some psycho soon, please.

Declan has decided to grow up and finish high school, go to college, and make a good life for him and Charlotte. And if that doesn't work, hopefully they've read Romeo & Juliet and can take a hint.

From the Signature Collection

Victoria is um, overjoyed at the fact that Conrad has filed for divorce. Overjoyed, in a bile-overflowing kind of way. Thankfully, a mysterious lawyer swoops in to offer his services. Hmmm ...

Daniel has already moved out of the house, and now Charlotte has left to live with Conrad. Victoria wanders the mansion like it's The Others, lonely and frightened, so it's no surprise when a visiting Daniel lets it slip that they're being visited by a ghost - Amanda Clarke is back!

Victoria-isms

Ashley: "Victoria, good morning. I made a breakfast reservation for us so we could continue our discussion from the other night"
Victoria: "Today is not a good day. And please continue addressing me as Ms. Grayson"

Victoria: "Daniel, I'm so glad that you came. Oh, and I see you brought Emily." FROZEN SMILE OF DEATH

Sleazy Lawyer: "I couldn't help feel sorry for Lydia when I heard she jumped from her balcony"
Victoria: "You reap what you sow."
Sleazy Lawyer: "I need you to do whatever it takes to win your case. Which means you could end up with a significant amount of Conrad's blood on your hands when all this is over."
Victoria: "I wouldn't have it any other way." FROZEN SMILE OF DEATH

Daniel: "I'm sure Charlotte will come home eventually."
Victoria: "This mausoleum is too cold and empty to be called a home."

What did you think of this week's episode? And what are your predictions for the second half of the season? Who will make it to Season Two? Who will kick it during February sweeps? Will they tamper with TyleNol? And what will happen to the most important character ... Shamu?
